British PM urges India to change mind on MMRCA

As time goes by sometimes History is diluted and forgotten. India and Pakistan must never forget the destruction and looting of the coffers that took place when they ruled the waves prior to independence. Perhaps we as people that were not around with Lord Mountbattons activities have still had it enforced into us, but the next and the generation after will have their memories diluted. We must attempt to make sure its forgiven but never forgotten and the same mistakes are never repeated.
The attitude they have that India the servant should have come to the master is embarrassingly pathetic - Cameron take a look in the mirror and stop making your nation look foolish. Perform better, offer quality service and product, offer a good price - then expect the business. Dont live in the past. India is too big and wise to bow to historical relations.
God save our queen? - No god save YOUR queen - Long live our future!

I don't think this Independence Movement rhetoric is valid today. Destruction and looting always happened in India(Whole). Sometimes it's kings&emperors and sometimes companies& crowns. British were only racist but not evil. They did try to follow Rule of Law(a different set of rules for Indians though) and played politics dividing people. But let's not forget, Indians too divided people by religion creating heck a of geopolitical nightmare that we today discuss on forums like PDF.

why should we opt out ? Let them refuse/divert it. Let their true faces come forth which is - they are a bunch of hypocrites.

We on the other hand should plainly reply :

1. Tata is the largest employer in UK in manufacturing sector.
2. Indian private companies had invested billions in UK.
3. The aid is not given to Indian govt. Even if there is some relation between aid and getting tenders by any stretch of imagination, how is govt of India responsible when it is not the recipient in first place ? As some one had already mentioned, most of the aids goes to christian missionaries and organizing social programmes centred around church ( not spatially ).
4. IAF had already made it clear that both are equal. The matter boiled down to price. Which they lost.
5. We wanted a omnirole fighter rather than an out and out air superiority fighter. Just to put things in perspective, even our Su30MKI would have lost the MMRCA tender if it had participated in it simply because it is no way multi role. Why is it so difficult to comprehend ?

Very Well Portrayed. Good Job Brother.
It is true that the present generation of young men and women from both India and Pakistan are loosing the essence of our great past and civilization and becoming too much western, which might be used as a new tool to dilute our unity by western forces. West is not the saint, they serve their purpose and if all hell is about to break loose on them they will pull down every one with them.

Any reaction from Angela Merkel.
She is no ordinary leader and lady. She has been one of my most favourite Political Leaders of modern times besides Russian PM Vladimir Putin.
She will not brag about any failure, she is a lady who thinks about the positive in the negatives that arise from deals such as this.

Why do you think we should remember enmity of the british while fogetting all the muslim invaders. any special reason?
All those things are part of our history, which we should study objectively without attaching such emotions.

India's relation with UK(or afganistan/iran/turkey) will depend on our present relations, which is quite good.

And this is a comment in house of commons, look at it from local political angle, and you will understand he has made right noises.

UK govt is keen to continue Aid, what some members say does not make any difference. We have such disagreement in our parliament too, that is how democracy works.

This proves that you know nothing about our culture.

Have said at any stage forget muslim invaders? This thread is about the British wanting to use their influence on India in making a decision for their future. I was commenting on the thread ON topic. Why do you want me to go off topic?

Right, agreed I went a bit off topic. What about you?
What was your rant about, which is nothing to do with what british PM said.

I just made a general argument that one should not attach emotions to historical events, else we will end up being enemy of many countries.
Nobody is saying we should not read history.

If you allow me to say something bit off topic, I believe our relationship with pakistan is unable to develop because we still see partition with emotion rather than objectively.

We have every right to do so, muslim invaders have been taken care of, nobody boasts of them nowadays, but still a few are left that will either be killed or will die out automatically, and please if the usual BS of "britan bought technology to India" is why you think we should be friendly with britan, then just please forget it... I think you dont know but this "aid" by the british govt is been given to develop an army of christian missionaries that can create hatred and delusions for hindus

.
care to explain??

It's quite difficult to explain what things that constitute Indian culture are the things that we should be proud of and why.
why don't you consult some reputed Indian historian(I mean read) and try to understand why i meant there.
