BRITISH MUSLIMS ASK FOR SUPPORT IN BANNING BURKA

No,

to start with, a legal ban is not the same as putting a AK round into ones brain because you think its "immoral"

Secondly, ask yourself what the purpose of the Burqa is. And why only women have to wear it.

Then ask yourself if it complies with the basic fundamental principles of modern democracies.

Legal ban equates same as putting AK47 to give up your traditions, when it comes to stop's personal matters. And all unjust laws are "immoral".

And don't give me these arguments, why Women should wear brazier? This is how women and men are, women does something, and men don't do, or men do something which women don't.

Yes ofcourse, it's democracy. Everyone is free to follow what ever he likes to, until it hurt others.

Now you tell me, Why double standard, when Taliban put a law of putting everyone men behind the beard or every women behind Abbaya, it known as extremism, but it's "Democracy", when same things comes to France or UK, to every women stop stop their religious/culture practice?

For me both are extremists, one at right side, other on the left.

Is there any law which tells women to wear braziers because of "immoral attraction" which only applies to one gender ? Do they cover the entire body of women and thus make it impossible to identify them in any way? Has there been any case in which a woman was hurt of forced to wear one although she does not want to wear one?

And what double standards?

In which election did the Taliban get a peoples mandate? Are the Taliban known for following basic human rights?

Ohh come on, what I write, and what reply I am getting. I don't have enough upper matter left for useless discussion, where someone is calling democracy for banning someone's personal matter.

Not an expert on religion, but as others have pointed out burka has nothing to do with Islam. Its a cultural thing.

And now if I lived in the UK, I'd 100% support banning burka (or anything that hides your face from the security cameras).

No, the Burqa laws are against gender equality, a basic idea of any democracy. That alone can be seen as enough to ban them.

Let alone the fact that it poses a security risk, its forbidden in many countries to walk around with your entire body covered, and the many cases in which women were forced to wear them against their will.

And your comparison with the Taliban is still flawed, mainly because the Taliban are not an elected government.

Not a credible source ... they should band it on nuns as well ... imagine nuns in biknis

Nobody is forcefully putting muslim women in bikinis. They're just banning that ugly, tribal tent. You can see a nun's face btw.

Equality where Women is not allowed to do what ever she wants? Come on. Bottom line is;

It's wrong to ask women to wear what ever as per their likes.

That's all.. Byez.

Nuns don't cover their faces. Its the covering of faces that alienates Muslim women from the rest of the society.

What a joke.

Let women wear whatever the fcuk they want.

Western World should not dwell back to its barbaric existence of intolerance and hate...

bro its their choice ... either the dnt walk around nude or cover every single in their body .. u cant ban them ..

bro its their choice ... they can walk nude or streets or a burka .. no one should force anyone ...

That is the fine line. I know its their choice. But you can't cover your faces all the time while you are using public transports, airport, or going in banks or in government buildings. Its a security threat no thanks to some retards in Muslim communities.
Please try to understand British culture too. British people are generally very liberal but there is a limit to being a liberal. No one wants to see minorities making ghettos and breaking the law. There are some mosques and some preachers here who teach hatred against the majority White British people. So please try to think from their point of view.

People living in Pakistan need to stop worrying about Muslim in UK. Muslims are treated better here then in Pakistan. There is no fear of being killed by a suicide bomber or a mob coming to kill you because you belong to different Sect. We are allowed to build mosques, worship freely and preach too. So its about time Muslim community give something back to the society and one of them is stop acting like a gang. Stop extremists ideologies being spread in Mosques.

if women feel comfort with Burka they should wear. men should not force women what they must wear. like women may not decide what men should wear. but all they wear must comfortable to society.

I dont mind to be honest, Its a free country. However If you dont want to be seen in public, Just dont come out your damn house. (Plus it just increases differences). Like how can you talk to a person covered in a blanket, cant even see their face.

Trust me these Ninjas are naughty ..! remind me of sixth form and school days. So it does not make them a better Muslim in anyway.

Ban this Arab Crap.

how is it against gender equality if the woman chooses to wear it???

burka has nothing to do with islam…… but i am against any law that takes a persons freedom away unnecessarily….i mean if they are banning burkas then they should ban ski masks, and scarfs that cover your face as well…… if you catch my drift…
this is against democracy and human rights…. the only law that should pass is a law on stopping people from forcing somebody to wear the burka….. idk why there so many double standards for freedom….. remember that those who sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither….

i would be for it but this type of stuff opens up the doors for governments to take away more freedoms…. it will start with something simple like this……. we don't need governments to decide what we wear and what we don't…

Only reason I can think of banning is security. Other than that, what anybody wears is their own wish, whether for religion or fashion. Religion is interpreted differently by different people, so you cant force people not to wear them.

Its not about the article of clothing ,its all about what it represent.
