Breaking: Afghan Mullahs declare Jihad against Pakistan .

Sheeit... bring it on, we'll waltz like it's 1961.

Maybe I hate to be saying this (lol)..... but you are correct. The Mullas calling for Jihad may be a loony lot; but the Afghans have not and will not cotton to the idea of being ruled over by anybody. They will never buy into the "Ummah" argument to ever accept that. An Afghan is clear about one thing; come to them as a friend, they will embrace you. Go to them as a master (even with Nukes or F-16s) ..... they will kick up merry Hell for you. And will not even mind going to (and through) Hell to do that. The Tribe and its Pride over-rides everything.......life, death or even religion.

They also have an illustrious history of being at war with invaders, being at war with neighbors, being at war within their ethnic groups, tribal wars. The only time they're not at war with others, they're at war with themselves.

by supporting TTP with india's blessing they began their jihad/fasad ages ago.......we've been THRASHING them in FATA and elsewhere so let them come at us. Extra target practice is never bad.

Is this news for real ? If it is so then illiterate Afghans will blow up everything in Afghanistan and Pakistan on the basis of religion. Everyone should look out for a solution.

While the guys who are issuing the threats are quite an imbalanced lot; they can create enough mischief. Most of the people in Afghanistan are pretty much "nowhere guys going no-place". Which describes their economic condition, now with the flare-up in violence recently..... that condition of theirs will get aggravated. Which is the matter of concern. That their "Incendiary Quotient" is again going to be increased. That does not mean that they are a trigger-happy and blood-thirsty, but just that they have nothing to lose.

On the other hand, Pakistan is trying hard to stabilise and look forward to some Economic Growth, after long. With projects like the CPEC on the anvil, intended to be a major part of that. Now consider this; again unrest erupts in the area, it will cast a shadow on projects like these. I'm sure that the Politburo in Beijing is watching even more keenly than Islamabad. There are enough Afghans on both sides of the Durand Line to become restive. They are all bound by fierce tribal loyalties, and no Afghan looks kindly on anybody who approaches him as a Master, however illiterate or piss-poor he may be. The situation is again going into a flux, with all the signs of another boiling. Accompanied by sporadic spill-overs. Who will be scalded and how badly.... is the question.

A good lot of our co-posters here cannot comprehend that.

It is Saudi wahabia that is pressurizing Pak thru Afghans and Indians.

Of course.... everybody knows that..... its been happening for ages.
It is just that the Afghan Tribes do not live in space, they live just across (a non-existent) fence from you. Plus there are enough numbers of them within you. So that is what you need to think about, more so with CPEC and all that.

It is a matter of concern for us. We have not seen that part of the world but have read about it. It is not about our investment only but it is a big big concern for south asia.

I'd say that it certainly is.... and will be more so. Of course as I said earlier.... Beijing will be watching closely.... regardless of how much Rawalpindi and Aabpara are. There is a lot of Chinese money riding on how events pan out.
Another thing; what made the Americans make a final push and work for a rapprochement with Iran ?
All of these are wheels within wheels.....

Afghanistan is going to sign defense treaties with India in near future most likely. It will get closer to Iran. Pakistan annihilating them is out of question. If US invasion of Afghanistan proved to be a failure how will be the pakistani one be successful? BTW even the Afghani Tajiks,Uzbeks, and Hazaras have no love for Pakistan

Bhai are you a Punjabi btw? I can sense your love of your brothers across the border.

1. India and Afghanistan are never going to sign an official treaty. The reason for that is that Afghanistan is not worthy enough for India to risk a nuclear war, and Afghanistan would never have conventional capabilities to support an Indian offensive. They would enter an Indo-Pak war only when Pakistan is verge of defeat in order to collect spoils.

2. It would get closer to Iran and India is investing in reducing dependency of Afghanistan on Pakistan. Chahbahr port and Delaran-Zaranj railway line are a step towards that. These stupid Pakies do could not even comprehend how much enmity with India is costing them. Without competition from Chahbhar, Gwadar would had had a higher potential to succeed. Now it not only has to compete with Bandar-abbas, Karachi, and Dubai, but also Chahbhar just 70 miles away. Just CPEC would never support Gwadar as geographically challenged Pakistanis could not read maps and thus are oblivious to the fact that their Karakorm "highway of death" opens in Takla makan desert and Western china which is seven times larger than Pakistan has just 2% of total Chinese population as apparant from this map thus making consumption model unfeasible.

India is financing Chahbar as a fk Gwadar project to spite Pakistan, than out of any need or necessity.

3. US invasion was never a failure, neither was Soviet Invasion. They won every battle they fought and are withdrawing from Afghanistan because Afghanistan is not worth holding due to it being a barren wasteland. If they wanted, they have killed every living soul in Afghanistan and converted it into an oversized military base within a month.

4. Pakistan's quarrel with Afghans is mainly limited to Pashtuns as they live in Eastern Afghanistan. Pakistan does not have power projection capability to hit Hazara, Tajiks, and Uzbeks directly due to their distance from Pakistani border. Also they have backing of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan and are no pushovers, while Pashtuns have backing of none.

Dont worry some retard whose wife didn't let him do it in the morning took out his frustration on Pakistani flag in Afghanistan. As for the afghans living in Pakistan they desperately want to stay here and wouldn't do anything that would speed up there extradition process.Pak-China JVs are too big to fail due to these low lives.

and sending their kids wiht suicide jackets to blow up others , they think they defeat other .. without Pakistan and US they can do shit about the Soviets , the mighty Afghans are nothing but bunch of pu$$ies to me

Without Pakistan and US support, Soviets would have rolled them under their tanks.

Hahahaha not our money dude not our money.Chinese want the road more then we do they saw something in it thats why they invested.Chinese don't invest in projects before carrying out feasibility studies and quoting a known anti chinese paper doesn't change the fact.
Iran needs us as much as we need it,forget about any kind of cooperation other then economic because if they can become pain in the a** so can we by joining the arabs and they wouldn't want nuclear armed well trained army for arabs for sure.
And finally for India we didn't develop nukes because we liked eating grass.enuf said.

Just reference the underlined part: Gwadar and then the Highway north to Karakorams are Chinese Investments to support Chinese Business Interests. Nothing more; nothing less. What is in it for Pakistan..... is investment to create infrastructure, revenue from transit charges, employment to work on and operate all of that...... none of which Pakistan has right now. As for creating industry in Pakistan to feed consumption in that part of China...... nada..... there is'nt so much consumption there. This Highway is primarily a raw-material route.

But with unsettled conditions along the Durand Line......
Even the Iranian Route will seem more secured.

Signing a treaty with Afghanistan would be game over for Pakistan. I dunno

I heard from Pakistanis that NDS is controlled by Tajiks who want to derail Pak Afghan peace process. Also Hazaras since they are being targetted.

A superpower spents over a trillion to beat some barefooted terrorists with rusty AKs and doesnot fulfill objectives. Then sure its a failure.

@Capt.Popeye Is his assessment right?

First of all this word is banned on this forum.

Secondly it is you a bharati who doesn't even know sh!t about Gawadar and CPEC and is giving expert opinion on it with his close bigoted brain. Gawadar and Chahbahar weren't supposed to compete in the first place. These two ports can operate well both at their place. While Chahbar would be a good alternative for Afghanistan if that country doesn't fall into complete disarray Gawadar would be used for completely different purpose with CPEC in place.
Since there is no competition between Pakistan and Iran we have also asked Iran to join CPEC.

Iran wants in with CPEC project.

It is a healthy competition in which at least Pakistan is not going to be a loser. And like any bharati you again overestimated importance of India. Only thing that our enmity with India costing us is those mortars that we fire in response to your ceasefire violations.

A superpower spent Trillion dollar on a fool's errand of nation building. It finshed "war" in a month and had it behaved like Timur lame, it would have finshed that war at less than 100Billion dollar and not a single Pashtun or Afghan (depending on situation) would have been alive today.
