Brazil overtakes UK has 6th largest GDP

I think CHINA WILL OVERTAKE around 2025 BUT SOME BELIEVE china one child policy will come to haunt them next decade as the STATE as more older people than YOUNG causing all sorts of potential burden on the state and even worse. UNREST in the country.

Its very CONTROVERSIAL topic that will have enormous consequences in decades to come

it is a controversial topic but Germany had an elderly population since the 70's, and Japan is the oldest country in the world.

having more old people has some benefits such as social stability, as they're too weak to riot, burn and kill anymore.

on the other hand, India should invest more in social stability and welfare, otherwise people who cannot get enough to eat might get despserate and kill for food.

1. The indicators used for such studies normally overlook the state of the society, social reforms, poverty, etc as brought out by the BD born Nobel laureate Amritya Sen. UK and Italy should not be discussed at all. Germany has emerged as the leader of Europe able to counter the Russians in days to come. The Chinese are climbing and climbing, and are not too far from the top. USA has got stagnated at the top. Much of the stagnation is caused by her finding none to compete with. The only road for USA now is downward.

2. In spite of all this euphoria of becoming a global player, the wise in the Republic understand that her way forward is fraught with danger. Danger from within. For every billion-er Indian celebrated there are a few poor Indians added to an already hefty list. The departure from Gandhian welfare prescription and Nehruvian socialism is bound to rock the Republic which may disintegrate as a result. Anna Hazre may be a beginning only.
