exactly what i was going to ask. it state figures (e.g; ages and number of troops) which are too much to be true (hard to digest). e.g; Ramayna says that Dasrat ruled ayodhya for 30,000 years. similarly when Ram fought 14,000 rakhshahs single handedly. though i don't want to hurt sentiments of fellow hindus by calling Ramayna a fairy tale, i am only saying that "some of it's parts" seems too much.

Though it would make for an excellent Lord of the Rings type movie/series if directed well with a good screenplay. Same with the Mahabharat.
