Real testing of JF 17 Thunder Block 2 in this exercise against best air forces. It is a win win situation for PAF to evaluate technical and real war fighting capabilities along accuracy of Chinese weaponry of JF 17 Thunder. PAF can get all secret technical evaluation from Saudi Arabia easily and utilities in development of Block 3. Previously, we tested JF 17 thunder against Chinese systems. Now PAF has opportunity to test JF 17 Thunder Block 2 against American, European, French, Chinese and Russian machines along with TOP ranking fighter pilots.

We never rarely heard about how various aircraft perform from these which is frustrating. Occasionally you hear somethings like MKI pilots boasting how they defeates F-15s (prior to USAF pilots deciding to embarrass the IAF by releasing the restrictions IAF asked USAF to fly with). Or PAF pilots unprofessionally leaking how they thrashed RAF Typhoons in a2a exercises at Anatolian eagle. I believe the pilots are supposed to keep the results confidential so each side saves face, but i just want to know generalization about bow the aircraft performed, and other forces opinions on the aircraft.

Or how the USAF Colonel ridiculed the Inidains' performance at red flag during a brief, recorded it and then uploaded it on youtube.

there is nothing wrong with JF-17 itself. we wont be taking that jet there in exercise or airshow.
the problem is the political clout and influence of the western companies and the countries over the Arab monarchies. their defense equipment sales are a big ticket item and earns them billions.. they wont let any third world country take a slice off their share.

Avionics is branch of science combines Software /Hardware and Signals processors I think China has all of these elements since they already manuafacture radars rest is up to scientist to process Code

They already make Top notch LCD and Touch screen and Mobile units and display units

Obviously they are putting in place training and building fighter arm which does not exists today, jf story was conveyed by someone else but missing pieces are being placed to get a fighter force of 1 or may be 2 sqn in place for future

Today their af is mostly heli borne for attack

You will be surprised....for example, my old man flew with UAE Air Force as an instructor pilot and he said much to his surprise that he had students that were exceptional and he never saw that during his tenure at PAF......

They got world class training and they're getting there....it is their way of catching up with the world. Can be seen from their display teams as well...
