Bangladesh refuses to tour Pakistan

Actually, instead of blaming the Bangladeshis, Pakistan should understand it is not 100 % safe yet invite foreign teams to tour. I understand that after 2009, many steps must have been taken but with these suicide bombings, even politicians and ministers are not safe. Why blame them when 8 other test playing nations are not touring either?

On a side note, BD board should stop flip flopping its stance on the tour. They have to decide one way or the other.

LAHORE: Bangladesh has refused to tour Pakistan in January due to security concerns. Earlier this month the Bangladesh Cricket Board had announced that the national team would tour Pakistan for a short two match series.

Pakistan Cricket board Chairman Zaka Ashraf has said that if Bangladesh refused to tour, Pakistani players would not be issued NOCs to play in the Bangladesh Premier League.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board had also agreed to send a team to Pakistan in April, 2012 a Twenty20 and one-day international in Lahore. However, the Dhaka High Court issued a restraining order stopping the Bangladesh players from playing in Pakistan due to security concerns

According to the article, the judiciary in BD refused to allow the team to visit pak. I wonder why we didn't try something similar from barring the pak team from visiting India.

But of course, even if it had been taker up by the courts, the skewed definition of the word - "liberal" - would not have allowed the judiciary to act in a stern manner.

There is no urgent need of inviting any foreign team to Pakistan.
Cricket fans are now accustomed to watching matches on big screens in large gatherings..
Thats more fun than buying tickets for a stadium...

well the tour cancel may not just end here .......if the PCB does not give NOC for its players to play in BPL(premier league)...then the players wont go inspite of being already auctioned......the Pakistani players already are at a loss since they are not picked in IPL because they were prevented from participating due to the refusal of the PCB after the auctions after 26/11.....if this also takes place, no premier league will want to select them or rather call them for auctions as their participation would always be i doubt
