Bangladesh Army select Turkish Hisar-o as MRSAM

Don't think this news is true for the moment.

For reasons,

1. Unverified news is LY 80 is almost confirmed since Army wants mid range SAMs in service by next year.

2. This news says, it's a battalion level system. For now Army already designated RBS 70 & Orelikon systems as battalion level AD.

We are little short in budget to designate a full blown AD SAM in battalion level.

But Hisar has a good chance in the future in Brigade/Division level. Our Early warning/AD radar systems are mostly going to be। from EU.

Deploying a NATO grade system in South Eastern -South western region makes sense from that point.

While Chinese system will be the workhorse, EU/Turkish systems will form the core. Kind of a high-low mix.

Bangladesh now a supa pawa after purchase of next generation air defense system...

No, the news is not false. Read it from another source below. Many other sources also are saying of this induction. The news below contains also many other important defence purchases from Turkey.

@Philip the Arab, please send your comments on this induction.

@The Ronin

As The Ronin says, the copied BD Military. Hisar is not even in production yet. How can a military buy it when something is not even in production. They don't even know it's performance until it's fully tested and operational. And remember Syed Abal Khan from BD Military is the most unreliable liar out there.

sales also includes Hisar-A so it makes sense, may be some of Bangladesh officers showed up at final Hisar-A tests.

btw Hisar A and Hisar O shares many common subsystems, Hisar-O will have active RF seeker head beside IIR head. after completion of Hisar-A tests they have enough data about Hisar-O performance.

I would like that to happen, really. But probably fake news... Hisar-O isn't ready and first orders of Hisar-A and Hisar-O will be for Turkish Army... There is a huge demand for air defence.
Maybe after that, after We have enough Hisar, we can think about exports, but not now. And would it be logical if a country just select a prototype for his own army? This is another question.
