Bangladesh Airforce inviting tender for 8 MRCA

as a muslim i'm happy bangladesh is acquiring advanced Fighters, i do notice the jealous comments made by pak members which is unwanted and unjustified tried to shove the JF-17 down each and everyones throat. InShAllah Bagladesh acuirings the J-10s/SU-30s and does Tamasha to all those little thunders that pakistan sold to mayarmar a country thats involved in a genocide against muslims, 4 SU-30 With a full Payload would annahilate all 16 of those thunders hell even the F-7s would get in a few kills.
I hope you're not a Pakistani because else you'll get butchered by the mods.

I wonder if BAC deal with irkut that was signed way back involves building spare part locally in the future? I would be surprised if we did for our sukhois and overhauled them in house.

the spare parts shouldn't be a problem if the russians don't supply it the chinese and indians may. i'm stating facts. PDF members like pushing down the JF-17 down everyones throat i guess the BLK-3 may be a better fighter but compared to the Payload and firepower and SU-30 packs the jf-17 is extreemly shortlegged and in ariel combat against the Mayarmar jF-17s the Bangladeshi SU-30s will have a turkey shoot. it will be a walk in the park.

I live like 10 minutes from this company :o:

one reason Russia doesn't sell as many Flankers is because of the cost of the parts, but if you can make these parts yourself........then that's a steal.

Well cost of the parts is sometimes not just machining the darn things.

It's the composition of the metallurgy mix such as Rare-earth alloys (niobium-titanium etc.) which has superior heat-proof properties. The Russians are masters and world-leaders in such upper-class metallurgy.

Though how much of these alloys is used in Flankers remains a mystery and has to be found using some kind of assay.

SU-30 is the best plane at the best price for BD

China has an understanding with Russia that it will not sell the J-11s to any 3rd party country.

This has nothing to do with India at all as BD military controls arms purchases and it sees India as enemy No 1.

True... only US, U.K., France and Germany comes close. China still lags behind in metallurgy has problems with alloy components used in their engine which needs some maturing to do if my knowledge is up to date.... (2 years .....)

The tech of turbojet , related to nearly full-spectrum of basic industries, is the pearl of the mordern industry , which's even more sophisicated and harder than the tech of building a carrier.

Across the world, there're only three corporations with the capability of designing and building a cutting-edge turbojet that are GM , P&W and R&R, then following by the companies from Russia and France.

The theory of designing and building an turbojet could be absorbed by everyone, which's not a big deal.

The point is how to jump the hurdles of the puzzles of producing special alloy materials and kind of processing of one-time cast for sophisicated conponents with complicated structure ..
etc, all of which need out of number of tests in labs and plants , that means dozens of years of time and tons of money.

China has tried his best to catch up as soon as possible by reverse-engineering which could save us lots of time and money, but there are still too many efforts for Chinese to make in order to obtain this bright pearl.
The WS-10A has been used on J-10 series and J-11 series , and China would improve consistently its stablility and reliability , while the experience fixing varies of problems could benefit the development of WS-15 designed for J-20 and WS-13 with medium thrust for JF-17 and other turbojets for cargo plane and bomber .

China would catch up with US in the sphere in 10 years, cause we have decided to burn huge amount of money to shorten the process of the development.

No doubt! Cheers!

It is unlikely that China will be able to catch up with the US in jet engine technology in 10 years.
Remember the engines that China is trying to produce now like WS-15 were produced by the US 15-20 years ago.
I read an article some years back where a top Chinese engine specialist stated the year 2040 for China to catch up with the US in engine technology and that seems realistic to me.

Yes.
Maybe i am a little opimistic.
But things would change.
You know , sometime the bottleneck is hardest to breakthrough , but once it's tackled, things would move on smoothly.

Additionly,a leap of the related tech of turbojets is not likely to happen ,based on the present physical theory.
The potential of improvement is not unlimited.
It is very hard to make a great breakthrough even for US in this area.

First of all u call ur self Muslim and see another Muslim enemy for non Muslim India shame on u

Yes good u choose SUKHOI because u r the puppet of Hindus we don't want u to copy our defence as u keep doing to make happy ur daddy AL KHALID FM 90 u bought from china to make happy India to let them see weakness of equipment

May be his wording was not the best.

I think what he means is that the 12 SU-30SMEs that BD wil get will allow air-superiority for BAF over MAF.
No offence to JF-17 but it is significantly inferior to SU-30SME. For PAF, JF-17 provides a significant medium-level capability that BAF has no need for - it is capable to take on India's Mig-29s and LCAs but cannot handle aircraft like SU-30MKI or Rafale.

BD does not buy equipment from China to allow India to take a look lol.
China would never trust BD again if that happened and would not sell a single bullet to it ever again.
SU-30SME was chosen purely as BD needed an affordable heavy-weight strike fighter that can lift a large
load far out into the Bay of Bengal to support BD Navy. To take on Myanmar BD will acquire many squadrons of
J-10b.

China's military industrial complex runs like an autarky (COCOM, Wassenaar Arrangement) while most other nations can collaborate and form multinational supply chain, notably super alloys and high precision CNC machines.

For example, when China uses its own 2nd generation nickel-titanium SC (single crystal) superalloy DD6 on WS-10A, while 3rd gen CMSX-10 is already been used in F119/135 (for F-22, F-35), NIMS Japan has even further advanced to 5th gen SC superalloy TMS-162, TMS-192, TMS-196!

Similarly when it comes to high precision tools and CNC machines that are critical to making components, no way China can acquire from SNK (Shin Nippon Koki) HPS-120B, no Yamazaki Mazak or Siemens or FANUC, remember Toshiba-USSR 1987 incident? AECC (Aero Engine Corporation of China) uses military-grade CNC machines supplied by SMTCL, just like everything else China has to build its own supply chain.

Yeah.
I have heard about nickel-titanium superalloy.
If i am wrong, pls correct me.

IMO, the potential of nickel-titanium superalloy is very limited ,so US gave up deeper research in this direction.
Japan is indeed the only one which could produce the 5th gen SC superalloy,to which alledgedly some Chinese scientists contributed a lot , but it is hard to say that applying such advanced material is cost-efficient .

Yes, in NIMS Japan's 5th gen SC superalloy team of scientists, Dr. J.X. Zhang is a Chinese national.

NIMS (doing R&D), Kobe Steel (metallurgical) and Kawasaki (machining) have been supplying machined alloy component to Rolls Royce for many years, they will continue to supply 5th gen SC alloy in form of machined components.

What about J 10 I think J 10 is superior to SU 30 In terms of technology why be only buying 12 SU at least 25 would been better
