BD has a plan to have 10 squadrons(160) of front-line strike/fighter aircraft by 2030.

In all our studies of threat perception, India and India only appears to be the potential threat. However, SHW/BAL have been purchased by India giving an unreal picture. Noble thought but just having aircraft is not enough.

One needs to be self-sufficient in having training, spares and maybe even manufacturing spares to keep these things flying. Dependence on overseas sources have to be reduced as much as possible.

Manufacturing spares is indeed an important thing considering the fact BAF will have a good number of fighters before 2030. Hope Bangabandhu aeronautical centre will have that capability in near future.

But hasn't it been always a part of forces goal that there should be 6 air superiority and 4 multi role sqd? I don't get this.... j-10c is similar in capabilities to j31.... the c version will have incorporated avionics and sensors from j20.

J31 has not matured yet, at least another 3 years.

Manufacturing spares is indeed an important thing considering the fact BAF will have a good number of fighters before 2030. Hope Bangabandhu aeronautical centre will have that capability in near future.

We should be plan to have at least a GFRP/CFRP AUTOCLAVE to manufacture fiberglass aviation components. Those are a basic minimum. This is boeing's partner hexcel in Malaysia.

Machining aluminum and titanium parts are also not tough with some large CAD CAM CincinnatI Milacron gantry milling machines and smaller cad cam machines. These investments should be made at a minimum for the future.

InShAllah Bagladesh acuirings the J-10s/SU-30s and does Tamasha to all those little thunders that pakistan sold to mayarmar a country thats involved in a genocide against muslims, 4 SU-30 With a full Payload would annahilate all 16 of those thunders hell even the F-7s would get in a few kills.

one reason Russia doesn't sell as many Flankers is because of the cost of the parts, but if you can make these parts yourself........then that's a steal.
