BAE HAWK MK132...........is it even good??

Now folks india has orsered these birds as the advanced jet trainers.I would like to know how are these even in the same league as other trainers as

1)Does it have fly by wire(quadruplex)

2)Does it have a t/w ratio thats good............??

3)Does it have a radar?

4)Is it capable of a high angle of attack

I know that answer to all these questions is no so why did IAF despite other compelling and better trainers like YAK-130 order this??

bro..Yak-130 wasn't even produced when India procured Hawk..first Yak-130 entered service in 2009 in RUAF..while India commissioned HAWK in 2008...

now,HAWK is most successful AJT in history..


now lets answer few of your questions...

1)Does it have fly by wire(quadruplex)--nope

2)Does it have a t/w ratio thats good............??--passable..enough to train pilots..

3)Does it have a radar?--nope,cause its not a frontline fighter jet..but it can fire A2A missiles by using radar-equipped mounts...also,HAWK-200 has RADAR(Northrop Grumman APG-66H multi-mode radar)....

4)Is it capable of a high angle of attack--its not aimed to perform this kind of role..its a trainer jet...


look..some of trainer aircrafts can be converted into light attack aircraft,but thats not the role for what IAF chose

Does it offer kick backs? if yes then how much?
 
Actually IAF is pleased with hawks,they are affordable ,very reliable.Hawks are the trainers of over a dozen airforces around the world including top notch ones such as royal air force,australian air force.US navy trains on aderivative of the hawk modified to carrier ops.I think these proffesionals can judge well for themselves.

Now almost all the air forces are going for the lift planes in the future like yak-130 and golden eagle(kai t-50) and chinese hongdu something and if the iaf was so satisfied why try and fir radars now??pls tell

Now when russia makes something superior u don't buy from them even then??

What sort of politics is this,,,,,,,hawk just is not good enough for advanced training required for pakfa like 5 th generation fighters

And about the LIFT,if we are lucky enough,we may see HAL HJT 39, aka CAT (Combat Air Trainer),based on LCA Trainer in the future.

Why not get the best and start retrofitting a plane after purchasing it(in case of hawk) to make it better??

We will have some other aircraft as a CAT i.e,Combat Air Trainer. Hawk will be our AJT. Hawk is one of the best AJTs in the world,no doubt about that.

The Yak 130 wasn't in service even,when we got the first Hawk. Yak 130 was a newer platform, while Hawk was a tried and tested platform. Had we gone for the Yak then,negotiations and test flights would've taken longer and most probably we will be receiving our first examples by now.

we have got only 24 hawks till now and like 100 more are on order.............we shouls have waited a year or two for a far far better platform,no question about that

more than 40 yak-130 have already been delivered to russian air force and bangladesh is also getting these things

but bro russia offered you yak-130, even they claimed that to operate PAK-FA type aircraft, you need yak-130. hawk can not fullfill your training demand but indian counter part denied it.
