India Looks At Purchasing 20 BAE Hawk Jet Trainers

No, the Hawk 132 will be useful in the war scenario..especially in the Airfield defence or Anti-UAV role..
But with the IAF having a sufficient front line force.. It may not be needed.

Can you bit elaborate, how come these these nimble Training Jets Flying at Subsonic Speed going to defend Airfield ? :undecided:

In low intensity conflict HAK has no role except training, but in war scenario (specially INDO-PAK) war every side will use every assets of their so-

HAK can be used for airpatrolling & CAS IN LESS DANGER AREAS like RUN of KUCHH.

As far concern as anti-UAV role, if HAK will find any UAV/cruise missile in any instance during patrolling mission, they can destroy these becz they are subsonic & doesnt give any potent threat to fighter.

Is this your Opinion or Orbat ??

I don't think IAF has any plans to use Hawks for anything other than training. They have hundreds of frontline fighters and multirole aircrafts to undertake combat roles. Unless we are talking about a long, protracted war where all air asssets are destroyed eventually, they won't be so desperate as to use hawks in combat. Future wars are likely to be short, swift and decisive. The IAF won't use its gold plated training assets for combat duties, unless they don't have anything else remaining to use.
