we all know that iaf has ordered 123 bae hawk132's for the role of advanced training jets. HAL will be making some of these birds at home.

it has a top speed of .85 mach,
a range of 2.520 km,
has five hardpoints,
1× 30 mm ADEN cannon, in centreline pod,
can carry either:

4 x AIM-9 Sidewinder:mach 2.5 speed,18.5 km range.(i think we are not using them)

or

4 x AIM-132 ASRAAM:mach 3+ speed,18km range,and we are uding them.

so,we can use them as a fighter in emergency situations, right?

.
Yes we can but we do not have AIM-9 or ASRAAM. There were some news that IAF going for ASRAAM for Jags.

IAF Hawk AJTs currently more suitable for CAS (close air support). They will participate in war.

.
They can be used for emergency situations...
but my doubt is who will fly them... these are supposed for training and those who are using them will be experinced trainers or trainees..... we can not risk them during emergency and i think current IAF fleet is enough to tackle any emergency

The RAF has hawk T.1's armed with sidewinders in the airfield defense role flown by the resident instructors.
Senior instructors, such as those in PFT or BFT usually take up this task.. along with base officers.

. . .
i believe when they bought this fighter they anticipated it use in an emergency during wartime . also i think we do have pilots to fly thees planes.

.
ever since indonesia used its hawks ( which had been bought for training purposes ) to strafe east timor rebels in the 90s , britain has a policy of not helping to arm the hawks it sells to other countries .

actually the hawk can carry and fire infra-red guided air to air missiles as well as bombs or unguided rockets for ground attacks .

but britain has refused to help us arm them .

we will have to use our own devices to arm them .

.
commercial pilots can fly them with littlt bit of training in real emergency

.
Yes they can but they probably won't. And I believe they have been armed by third party to use in training.
