Azerbaijan and Italian Leonardo currently discussing joint production of M-346 along with maintenance. It was previously reported that Azerbaijan has about 45 of said aircraft on order, but it is unknown how many will be armed and how many will be basic trainers.

May be buying small number of m346 is more logical for Azerbaijan's urgent needs. Hurkuş for trainer , hurkuş c for coin and hurjet for m346 role is more suitable for azerbaijan if they want to buy more Turkish systems like tfx in the future. Integretion of Russian,Israel,Turkish and others may be more problematic.

bro Hurkush C and this one are totally different class airplanes.. This is powered by turbofan engine and can fly higher to get away from air defence missiles Armenia has.
But, as soon as Turkey has Hurkush C, im sure Azerbaijan will be it. That is the reason Italians only now rush to sell it.. Turkey also should be more informative to Azerbaijan about their projects,,

Armenia doesnt have its own s-300, only some are in Russian base..
I think the main reason is Turkey can only export Hurkush in 4-5 years..

Hurkus is currently competing against PC-21, which will most likely win the basic trainer contract as they are offering joint production including export rights. Hurjet is only in mockup stage while M346 is in service with many other modern air forces. Azerbaijan doesn't have time to wait for projects because we are in a constant arms race, and right now we need to vastly improve the air force in short period of time.
