Does Azerbaijan have any future soldate program?
As part of the program, Azerbaijani army made a contract to produce Aselsan made thermal and optic devices. Also, Azerbaijan made contract to purchase Turkish made army boots and some other devices.The combat gear of the “future soldier” will be prepared in Azerbaijan.
Military sources told APA that with the view of realizing this project, the relevant structures of the armed forces are studying experience of various countries.
In the first stage, the personnel of the divisions organized on contract basis will be provided with the combat gear of the “future soldier”.
It is not publicized when the project will be launched and when the process will end. Prior to it, several divisions will be for trial provided with similar combat gear produced in a foreign country.
The combat gear will include modern communication set, optical and thermal vision devices, cameras, standard weapons modern uniform produced basing on nanotechnology, individual protective device etc.
Activities are being carried out in 20 countries to prepare combat gear of the “future soldier”. In Germany this program is IdZ, in France FELIN, in UK FIST, in Spain COMFUT, in Australia Land 125, in Italy Soldato Futuro, in Norway NORMANS, in China Warrior of the 21st Century, in Singapore Advanced Combat Man System, in Israel ANOG, in Czech Republic 21st Century Soldier, in Romania RIFS, in Serbia VB-10, in Turkey Ter ER.
The combat gear of the “future soldier” costs $30 000 – 80 000.

haha they said they need thermal and so on. I just guessed that if its the way to be modern solder, then they do have some programs. But it shouldnt be could modern soldier and had a marketing program..Where have you read that? And why do you think that it relates to a limited scope project like "future soldier"? Infantry doesn't need thermal and optic devices? Or what about "army boots" and "some other devices".
