EF-2000, Rafaels, and Grippen are out of question for PAF. As now PAF main goal is towards JF-17s, acquiring or license producing J-XX, and especially locally designed and manufactured future 6th/5th generation fighter and UAV/UCAV for PAF and other armed forces.

PAF is trying to move into 4.5gen stopgaps so the EF is only going to be looked at in its tranche 3 configuration; finances are supposedly available.

If and here it is a big if, indeed Euro fighter is being envisaged, then what is the expected overall impact on induction on platforms from PRC? Does it mean that nothing is on offer from China?

And what is the number that is being envisaged, keeping in mind a multitude of countries involved and the propensity of knee jerk reactions from them?

As for Typhoons PaF has already tested them and refused them in 2006.

Get it guys. I would say it is a great opportunity. You can not get a better deal. Buy it and get them upgraded with best in class EW and AESA.
