Asad Umar: Malaysia interested in procuring JF-17 Thunder from Pakistan

.
Six countries showed interest in blk3?? Two are keen on blk 3?

Some were willing to opt for blk 2 equipped with AESA? (LFK perhaps)?

Big rumors came out of Ideas..
Rumor mills are generally irrelevant and the reality is dependent upon diplomatic ties and economic considerations.

Malaysia is a real market if the Indian factor there does not sabotage it. Iran and the Arab world just is not.

Iranian and Malaysian defence officials visiting the IDEAS 2018 aerospace exhibition in Karachi have expressed interest in the JF-17 Thunder fighter jet made in Pakistan with Chinese technology.

Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) General Qasem Soleimani visited the fighter aircraft at the exhibition, according to local media reports Thursday.

Malaysian Royal Air Force Chief General Dato' Affendi while talking to media said, "We are attending the IDEAS for the first time, and we are immensely impressed by the standards of exhibition of defense products".

Malaysian military officials also held talks with Pakistan Aeronautics Complex (PAC) officials. While the PAC has been hawking the aircraft at various international aerospace events, there is no definite indication that a new customer has been found for the aircraft besides the confirmed sales to Nigeria and Myanmar.

The JF-17s which are deployed by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and sold to Nigeria and Myanmar have attracted interest from countries looking for a cheaper alternative to western origin light attack fighter jet. The approximately $60 million each plane is also considered cheaper than competing Russian fighter aircraft.

Rumors are enough for PDF fanboys to make threads here. This is most , they all can do. No wonder, internet at times, itself is biggest source of misinformation.
Meanwhile in india....now lockheed wants to help push the truck laden tejas to the trailer trash park. Bharati fan boys waving the flag think its starship enterprise

.
Lol the funny thing is that JF-17s first air to air kill was an Iranian drone in Balochistan.

Last paragraph of the article:

"Block I and II aircraft produced by PAC at its Kamra facility are now in service with the Pakistan Air Force. Further work is underway to enhance the performance of the aircraft, with the Block III development incorporating upgrades such as an active electronically scanned array (AESA) and possibly the increased use of composite airframe material for a reduced radar cross-section, an improved infrared search and track system, and the thrust-vectoring WS13 engine."

THRUST-VECTORING? Are they serious?
