there are only two ways here a liberal free country or afghanistan sonalia like country . there is no third way . its been 71 years we should learn it now .

There is always a middle ground to mostly every thing when it comes to population demographics. By being extremist we misuse religion, force it upon others, put others including non-Muslims suffering for our own sake whereas on the other hand, we become liberals and forget out roots, culture, customs and religion and lose our identity as Pakistani. This is what happening in India also. We don't need to be a liberal just because its called 'progessive' in the west or we need to keep up with the world in everything. We are our thing and they are their own. Sure we should amend some of our ways when it comes to culture, customs but our still keep our identity as Pakistanis and keep religion out of Politics for now atleast.

We can't. I don't think there is another nation like us anywhere. That's the adventure, we need to forge our own path.

In the past I used to think Turkey or Malaysia, but I don't think we can use them as examples. They have other influences, different history. Turkey is partly in Europe and have a long secular modern history (last 100 years or so), Malaysia is only 60% Muslim, they have a large minority population.

We have to find our own way, we have to make it afresh.

Even the so-called champions of HR are at middle when it comes to issues as such at hand. Mind you, Pakistan is only state where Armed Forces/Military stay aside from internal conflicts unless, thugs turns violent.
