Mostly you are correct. However, parts of Afghanistan was part of Indian kings like Ashoka and Mauryan Empire.
Also, North West Pakistan was under Afghanistan and Ranjit Sigh brought it under his control.

Afghanistan has never been considered Indian. It has always been ruled by different Iranic empires. Like the Ghazvanids, Samanids, Aechamids and so on…

So in other words u r saying that Pakistanis (north western indians) look different different from peninsular Indians is bcoz we were part of Persian empire, that is possible. Pakistan remained part of persian empire for several hundred years before and after the arrival of Islam. And it is not just Muslims of Pakistan, even the Hindus of Pakistan who left Pakistan during partition towards India also look like Pakistan and examples look majority of your bollywood actors who have origins in present day Pakistan like Ranbir Kapoor, Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor etc etc
