Anti Naxal operations :CRPF to go offensive

Atleast BLA and KP people who are killed in drone attacks are getting visibility annd air time media. But the maoist are silently exterminated without even the world knowing about it in the form of systematic genocides whose mass graves to be found by the human rights activists after 3-4 decades of planned killings just like kashmir mass graves.

Isn't it funny, you are more concerned for the naxals than your own people killed on daily basis either by US drones, your armed forces or the fanatics.

It seems CRPF and by extension GoI have got thier act together in this fight. Committing proper resources to the fight in a logical manner ie Helo transports, UAVs intel satiliete inputs, proper equipment (small arms, BPJs, Sniper rifles, MRAPs etc), proper training etc and there is definete gains now being made by these guys. All credit to them- they are fighting in horrid conditions far away from home for their nation and doing a bloody good job it seems.

Find out the number of casualties in Maoist affected region and your own insurgency affected region....its all game for you...lets start it...look into your own backyard. And WTF you have sch a idea of cooking rotis on pyres of dead bodies....disgusting....
Pakistan is in the midst of war for more than a decade. And what you've here in india is govt. killing unarmed people in a systematic genocide.Even if it gives you the pleasure of counting and comparing the dead bodies in two different region and entirely different situations then i must say that i feel disgusted by you.

There is a difference in both situations.Pakistan is fighting war against heavily armed terror groups on the scale of civil war for a decade and india is systematically silently doing genocide of unarmed innocent tribal people

You seem to be closely associated with the naxal movement. Where did you get this idea that they are unarmed. I suppose they killed 75 CRPF men 2 years back with their bare hands. Grow up buddy!!

Anti-Naxal ops: CRPF to conduct 'big sweep' offensives

New Delhi: The recent CRPF encounter in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district is part of the latest plan of the force to conduct "big sweep" operations in uncharted Naxal hotbeds of the country in order to liberate them from the clutches of 'red' ultras.

The new blueprint of the paramilitary, which has deployed more than 80,000 personnel for conducting Anti-Naxal operations in various states, is to focus on such zones where the administrative and police machinery has not ventured in the last many years and hence they have become hotbeds and headquarters for Naxalite activities and operations.

The June 28-29 encounter in the uncharted Maoist zone between Jagargunda and Basaguda in Bijapur district of Bastar occurred when the force was en-route to launch a similar offensive in Silger, a 400sq km area in this district and devoid of the presence of any government machinery.

"The force plans to undertake more of such big sweep operations. The policy of the government is to complement Anti-Naxal operations with development work. So, it is essential that such areas are brought into the national mainstream again," sources in the paramilitary said.

The plan, prepared under CRPF Director General K Vijay Kumar, is being implemented by the chief on operations (Inspectors General) of the force stationed in various states.

The CRPF has undertaken some of such successful operations recently which include the last year's clearing of the Saranda (900sq kms) forests in Jharkhand and Sarju-Kone (2,500sq km) in Latehar district of the state where development work has now begun.

Similarly, in Chhattisgarh it undertook the much-talked operation in the 4,000sq kms forests of Abujhmaad (Bastar region) and Singhanmadu (Sukma district) to flush out Naxalites from these areas and dismantle their temporary training structures.

Anti-Naxal ops: CRPF to conduct `big sweep` offensives
The plan envisages bringing together personnel of three-four CRPF battalions along with the elite CoBRA and providing them with the logistics to launch such operations.

While in Saranda and Sarju-Kone the state machinery has initiated plans of developing the area with CRPF security in tow, the force proposes to plan fresh offensives in Abujhmaad and other areas in Chhattisgarh to drive out Maoists and usher development activities.

CRPF sources said that while the specific areas where the force now plans to launch new offensives cannot be disclosed due to operational reasons, the intent of its activity is to achieve concrete results.

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) is also taking help from the NTRO and other satellite based databases to obtain the topography of such areas before they launch reconnaissance missions and the final assaults.

"It’s of no use deploying the forces in such big numbers if there are no concrete results achieved. The CRPF being the lead force in such areas has decided to undertake this task in coordination with state police forces who know their respective areas better that a central paramilitary force," they said.

And u speak as if this is not our country. like we don't know how to live here?

India is at the top when it comes to jungle warfare.

IF one sticks to thing they actually know something about ,they wouldn't seem so dumb elsewhere.

The point is these Naxals/Maoists/ tribal/revolutionaries of Bihar, Chatisgarh, Jharkhand, P/bangla, Orissa and Andhra know the terrain better. They are more familiar with the local seasons/climate. IA, IAF, BSF, CRPF, SSB, etc are largely outsiders physically, psychologically and mentally.

Military is not involved, except in emergency ops (medivac etc).
More use of UAVs and better surveilance equipment compansate the "local advantage" of the so called "revolutionaries"

Are you a commie?

1. A lot of people say the army and definitely the air force is involved. This is not the extent Chidamabarm would like. But with a pro-Congress Chief and one from MMS' community, IA's efforts in J&K will be curtailed to energize here in these six states - half of India.

2. No I am not a commie;are you? This is really a result of the atrocities committed on these people by high cast Brahmins, big businesses, local govt officials, police and the political leadership. GOI is fighting half of its people!!
