I will soon be going to Turkey with a friend to check on my new house. I will also check the temperature against Pakistan. Let's see how Turks react.
1. You should protest in front of the Pakistani embassy in Turkey.
2. Hold a placard saying that the Pakistanis must leave.
3. Post pictures in this topic.
You should have been wiser in your judgement - why did you expect to be welcomed in a foreign country?
There should be nothing surprising about how things are going down in Turkey - especially to Pakistanis who had a similar experience with Afghans.
In Pakistan there is massive resentment against Afghans brothers of yesterday, if anyone should understand the mindset against perceived hordes of criminals, it's Pakistanis - but you are bemused at why individual criminal acts are attributed to entire ethnicities.
Just like Afghan society is decades behind Pak society, Pakistani and Turkish society are poles apart - the most conservative Turk is akin to a liberal Pakistani. I mean Erdogan himself would be tried for blasphemy in Pakistan (for his comments about adjusting the religion for modern times.) There is no need for a conspiracy.
Confusing the personal niceties of Turks as an invitation for mass migration was crazy.
What's even worse than the naivety is the sense of entitlement. I know lots of British Asians (Pakistani and Bangladeshi) who are considering homes in Turkey. After a few holidays, where they were spoilt by locals - they assume that they will be loved and respected as residents.
You will never find this attitude from an immigrant from back home - they expect to be looked down upon.
Our own countries are places where villagers warn travelers about the harshness and dangers before even traveling to the capital. Don't trust anyone is the usual warning. But here, deluded, soft people expect to be welcomed with open arms in a completely foreign country.
