An Indian lost in Pakistan, the Other side of India

As per Hindu believes it is said that cow is the most sacred animal n there r some million deities reside in cow.
Thats why it is highly respected but not worshiped.

Angledude is screwing things without proper knowledge:

1. There is no Prophet even the Bhagwat Gita he is refering to clearly states that Lord Krishna is an incarnation (avatar) of Lord Vishnu who represents the Par Brahma(Supreme Being) so there is no concept of Prophet in Hinduism.

2. Lord Krishna didn't say we should worship cows intead of Indra(Rain God) rather he said worship Goverdhan Mountain.

3. There r much more differences between Hinduism n Islam than similarities in approach towards God.

So, people plz stop mixing them....

The only thing that should be remembered n respected is All religion teaches us way to God n they all should be equally respected...:agree:

I never said Islam and Hinduism had similarities. I only said that in the Quran it speaks of a dark skinned Indian prophet who spoke of worship of one God. I have no clue why he brought up the cow part, but he confused me. I think it was Yeti on this forum who said Hindus only worship one God so I guess it differs upon opinion however let us not continue to hijack the thread.

Well you clearly are not as well versed in comparative religous studies as you claim to be.

Muslims do not want Jews to accept Jesus as their messiah. There is nothing wrong in what I said, Muslims say Prophet Muhammad was the promised one of Jewish scriptures. Christians say it was Jesus, Jews say it was neither. I am well versed do not be mad.

@Zarvin, our conversation is against forum rules but alas let us finish this here.Did you know that a lot of the first converts to Islam besides the pagans were Jews because they accepted Prophet Muhammad as the one of their scriptures?? Have you ever wondered why the rest of Jews reject Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)? Why they say someone is Jewish if their mother is Jewish?? If you can answer all these questions you will start to piece together the dispute of Islam and Judaism. I will not answer any more religious posts. Mods feel free to delete everything.

Wicker in regards to Christmas, do you know that not all Christians have that date on their calendar. My friend is an orthodox Christian he says they celebrate Jesus' birthday sometime in January (I forget the exact date).

I think its January 7. December 25 is to account for the loss of days between the Julian calendar and the Gregorian calendar. The Gregorian calender was accepted as the norm sometime in the 18th century. Many folks during that time did not accept this and therefore kept the old date of January 7 as Christmas day. And they follow it to this day. But essentially its the same thing. Christmas day does not represent birth date of Jesus, since that info is missing in historical texts. Its a pagan ritual day venerating the winter solstice. They adopted that day as birthday of Jesus because it would be easy to convert folks. They would celebrate something on the same day but instead of winter solstice it would now be called Christmas.

Not true..Buddhism, Jainism & even parts of Hinduism have no use for a God & certainly don't promise to take you there.

I m not saying that Hinduism is a vip ticket to God's palace...

In each n every part of Snatan Dharma or present day Hinduism the focus has always been on achieving Moksha i.e. Living this world cycle n merging ur soul in that Supreme Being itself...

Tell me which part of Hinduism doesn't believe in Moksha or Par Brahma???:what:

N for ur kind info even both Buddhism n Jainism believe in Nirvana which is nothing but Moksha...

So do some research before u start making any claims...

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nirvana

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nirvana_(Jainism)

so u still believe

that god wants us to not worship idol . if yes why????

"Andhatama pravishanti ye asambhuti mupaste"
"They enter darkness, those who worship the natural elements" (Air, Water, Fire, etc.). "They sink deeper in darkness, those who worship sambhuti."
[Yajurveda 40:9]7
Sambhuti means created things, for example table, chair, idol, etc.

The vast majority of people in Arabia were Pagans and Jews, Was you accepting Bhuddists to accept Islam?

Have you ever wondered why the rest of Jews reject Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)?

Maybe because he doesn't fullfill thier standards ie: does not fullfill any of thier prophesies. Also, according to the Quran itself, Jews should not believe in Jesus as he was a levite when their promised Messiah should be of the tribe of judah.

Why they say someone is Jewish if their mother is Jewish??

They don't just say that, they've practised that for centuries before Islam.

If you can answer all these questions you will start to piece together the dispute of Islam and Judaism. I will not answer any more religious posts. Mods feel free to delete everything.

Answered, can't see what you was implying here.

Mods delete whenever you can thanks.

How can someone they did not accept fulfill any of their prophesies?? The Christians say the same thing, Jesus could not fulfill the prophecies because the Jews rejected him and had him killed. However this really isn't the reason why they reject him. If you were really Muslim you would know that we believe Islam always existed since the first man. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was not the only Prophet, he was the last of many. Why do you think we usually call people reverts?? Some people only say converts because it offends people of other faiths to call people reverts. Okay though enough of this.

So do some research before u start making any claims...

First you post something about all are ways to God, then start talking about Nirvana as if they mean the same thing. As for me doing some research, I'm sure that is a valid criticism but you are unnecessarily stretching the topic. If you knew how contemptuously dismissive of Gods some of the writings are, especially those by Jain monks, you would not be wasting your time on a silly argument like this.

I don't see a point in stretching this out because you probably had the best of intentions & the "all ways lead to God" is a common enough remark even if factually dicey. Let's just agree to leave it here & also agree that both need to do further researching.

Bang Galore, let us get back on topic. I believe Pakistan and India should live as friends however brothers is foolish considering the blood spilled between both sides.

What we call each other is less important that what we do with each other. Unlike some of my compatriots here, I have no concept of permanent animosity, either because of what happened in 1947 or what is happening now (in the recent past). My animosity is driven by certain actions of either the Pakistani state or a section of its people. If that changes, my reaction changes. What we call each other then is irrelevant. I sincerely wish that India & Pakistan are able to establish friendship or if that is too big an ask, atleast not be actively spending a lot of their energies on hating each other.

I doubt it will happen in this generation though, there are too many people who benefit from this animosity who are in stronger positions of influence.

Agreed.
The best that could happen is an economic reunion of both nations.

I don't believe in this brotherly crap although we can be good friends in future if things turn the right way.

Besides i don't think that the blood that spilled decades before is the issue here but the economic n geo political as well as domestic political interests of both nations that will always keep them away from forging any brotherly bond...:undecided:

according to my family legends we migrated from North India during Treta Yuga ... & our kings had relations with Rajputs , Jatts & Yadavas

The Hinduism which i follow has lot of links with north India let that be Mahabharata which happened in Kurushetra or Ramayana which happened in Ayodhya ...

kallu :cheesy:

I believe in status-quo/indifference or may be a slight improvement in terms of politics/relationship. The only thing that need to change and stop is the export of extremists/fanatics to move ahead..

Any kind of Union be it economic or anything else between the two is a joke as of now but what needs to change is trade between the two.

And then the two can at the least live healthily even if not friendly or brotherly..

Pakistan and India should have naturally been friends it is a shame things worked out the way it did.

If both countries start trading more frequently it will ultimately lead to economic dependance on one another and the rest will by itself fall into place. By this I mean good will shall develop and both sides will not wish destruction upon each other.
