I thought Hindus only respected Cow for all the provisions it provides. You guys can make up your mind or what??? In another thread the consensus was cow was never meant to be worshiped only respected but now you are trying to say that the cow was always meant to be worshiped.

I did not report your post at all. I did refute it, others may have taken offense though. You should look up why the Quran describes her as such (you do know right it was not meant in the literal because Aaron was thousands of years before her, right?), secondly Christians do say that however they do so because they are trying to get the Jews to accept Jesus as the messiah mentioned in their scriptures and as God. However the Jews refute their claims. Also if you read the bible in every verse where it refers to the coming of a messiah it speaks as if it is yet to happen. This was told to me by a Jewish Rabbi who also happened to be my Professor in religious studies course. The Muslims also say the bible speaks in a future tense and that Jesus was never the promised man of the Jews although we do believe he will be the Messiah who will save the world in the future by defeating Dajjal and will reject the Christians who worshiped him soon after.

My knowledge in religious comparison is definitively higher than yours. Secondly as for your claims to him being gay even modern scholars (non Muslim btw) do not try to peddle forth that apologetic notion. Refer to the Hadith where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) actually speaks of homosexuals that is if you are even Muslim. So before you accuse me of lack of knowledge you should not spew crap out of your mouth.

I still am confused, maybe I will walk into a hindu temple one day and ask a temple wala. Let us get back to topic however.

Wicker in regards to Christmas, do you know that not all Christians have that date on their calendar. My friend is an orthodox Christian he says they celebrate Jesus' birthday sometime in January (I forget the exact date).

Muslims do not want Jews to accept Jesus as their messiah nor was he ever meant to be. That is a Christian- Jewish theological dispute. Muslims say Jews should accept Jesus as a prophet who came to guide them back on the right path however they reject the Muslim claim as well. Christians say Jesus was God and he is the fulfillment of the prophecy of the Jewish messiah. Look up what the Jews believe their Messiah will do and you will understand why it means so much for the Christians that Jews accept Jesus. Go to any synagogue. As per Hindu believes it is said that cow is the most sacred animal n there r some million deities reside in cow.
Thats why it is highly respected but not worshiped.

Angledude is screwing things without proper knowledge:

1. There is no Prophet even the Bhagwat Gita he is refering to clearly states that Lord Krishna is an incarnation (avatar) of Lord Vishnu who represents the Par Brahma(Supreme Being) so there is no concept of Prophet in Hinduism.

2. Lord Krishna didn't say we should worship cows intead of Indra(Rain God) rather he said worship Goverdhan Mountain.

3. There r much more differences between Hinduism n Islam than similarities in approach towards God.

So, people plz stop mixing them....
