even with such huge force, it has all but caused more resistance and more drainage of valuable resources

You are saying you want independence of Kashmir. Still a part of Kashmir is ruled by Pakistan, and that makes the name 'Azad Kashmir' sound like a joke. So isn't Pakistan imposing it's will on THEM as well ? I think we all should come out of the delusions that we have created in our mind first.
And yes, India may have troop presence in Kashmir. That does not mean Pakistan does not have any.

It's a common phenomena in almost every sunni majority territory..The local armies and security forces are active in almost all sunni majority state. .except a few.

Lets talk about now, How many curfews do we have there in month?

And how many missing bodies do we have ?

And not to mention the rape count ?

Except valley Kashmir is mostly peaceful. Sunni with ISIS flags create havoc there. And Army presence is there for quick response to Pakistani invasion, since Pakistan has invaded Kashmir 3 times 1947, 1965 and 1999. Army presence at border is really important against terrorists entering Kashmir.

Are your forces oppressing people in Balochistan or fata or waziristhan or karachi?.

Quit quoting religious sect in an insulting manner or you will be reported> keep the discussion civil.

We don't have daily list of curfews at grand level, unlike in Kashmir valley where curfews are more of a norm now.

Not to mention the the act which i can't remember of, that gives the Indian soldiers right to Kidnap anyone without any warrant or so
