That was his biggest mistake, since he took it personally against Stalin and wanted to take Stalingrad as a war trophy to demoralize the Russians, instead of going to the main objective of his armed forces, that was to take the oil fields of Russia, as a smart move to stop the Russian huge mechanized war machine, and to boost its own, this was in reach of the German army, with much less bloodshed for both sides.
So, Hitler should be recognized as an irrational person and not worthy of any kind of leadership -let alone praise-. Only the circumstances of the period between WW1 and WW2 have favored the political rise to power of a corporal to overlook the genius of generals.
An inferior mind influenced by the power of political power and amplified by German general's genius in warfare, plus their victories all over the place, made the inferior Hitler account them for himself, this has boosted Hitler's ego too much to the point of feeling like if he was a GOD... so he started his blunders.

I should imagine the reverse is the case, except for those who oppose these figures on the grounds of partisan affinity to an anti-Jewish school of thought. Putting it mildly and as politely as possible.

Some of the Muslims that liked Hitler were colonized by England, and the natural way was to stand with England's enemy, since as the saying goes, the enemy of one's enemy is a friend, So, Hitler as a person was irrelevant, it was the idea of the saying that was fundamental.

And there it is.

Hitler was dumber than a sack of potatoes. He was adamant in sterilising germans whom he considered physically/mentally unfit, yet he himself probably suffered from Parkinson disease. He should have sent himself to the gas chambers first, that would have saved the world a lot of trouble.

Why do so many keep trying to rehabilitate Hitler, either by saying the Holocaust didn't happen/was exaggerated, or by saying that other than the Holocaust, he was a pretty great guy? The Holocaust happened. Hitler's eugenics fanaticism was directed at his own people, Jews, Roma, and even Slavs. You can't separate the man from his actions. And on top of that, he was utterly incompetent at a military commander.

Meanwhile, there is a Holocaust-free European who was a military genius, named Napoleon. And yet you and your ilk never venerate Napoleon. I wonder why?

Adolf Hitler was Extremist at 3 things
1-Extremely Self Confident
2-Extremely Determined and
3-Extremely Patriotic and Nationalist

He thought from his observation that Jews were a cancer eating Germany. And he was very patriotic German. He rose through the ranks to become Chancellor because he promised German People with a golden Destiny.

He was a great reformist and Germany did Economic wonders and became a super power. But he was too much ethnocentric and German oriented. That ideology Alienated Rest of europe from Nazi National Socialism.

As far as his projected Satanic image goes. I totally disagree. Yes he was Very cruel and Maniac. But not as much as Joseph Stalin(Another Extremist Patriot from Russia) Empirial Japan or the so called democracies in England France and USA. They were all cruel Colonists and oppressors with the exception of USA.
But USA proved to be grand daddy of all Satans when they Vaporized 2 living cities.

So Hitler was a maniac amoung other maniacs of his age.

Well because Nepolian is a bit out dated. And Hitler's era is still relevant to modern Economics and Military tactics.
And Hitler Advance is much more Dramatic then Nepolian. The growth of German Economy, the Blitzkreig destruction and occupation of the 3rd strongest country in the word. Almost Total Destruction of Mighty Soviet Union. Complete dessimation of europe.
Plus there are still vaterns around who have fresh memories of that time. Nipolean is more of a History book relic.

I think many here would contest your classification of Hitler nearly destroying the USSR (@vostok @senheiser), but that aside, the military accomplishments of Germany in WWII belong to the German generals, not Hitler. American successes on the western front were not due to Roosevelt, but Eisenhower and his staff.

As far as the economic revival of Germany, I don't disagree that Germany recovered rapidly under Hitler, but I would not characterize his economic policies as innovative, or even worthy of imitation. It was essentially a military Keynesian policy, spending more and more on re-armament and less and less on the real economy. In addition, real wages declined, productivity declined, and investment in the private economy was suppressed (please see How did Nazi fiscal policy work? and The fiscal economics of Nazi Germany, part II for a better discussion of this). As a proponent of Hayek, I don't find much to admire in Keynsian economics, whether it was Hitler's re-armament or FDR's New Deal.

Finally, regarding the nuclear bombs dropped on Japan, it was regretful, and arguably a futile gesture (it was essentially the USSR's increasing involvement that caused Japan to surrender to the US). I visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and was greatly saddened by what I saw there. That said, there were few pleasant alternatives. The firebombing of Tokyo was similarly destructive, and it's clear that any land invasion would have made the Battle of Berlin look like child's play. The US didn't start WWII, Hitler did. Hitler bears the responsibility of the tens of millions that died in the war.

I see no double standards. I just see a sick admiration for a man that had few redeeming qualities, and a multitude of repulsive qualities. With so many important historical figures who are free of such flaws, why focus so much on Hitler? It must be easier for Asians to minimize Hitler's atrocities since they were not subject to those atrocities.
