What's new

A Sri Lankan national lynched in Sialkot by mob of terrorists for blasphemy

bunch of animals

they make Pakistan look like a 6th century cave man country

who the are these idiots?

all of them should be punished
We arrested them now punishing them is yet to be seen...

So how could he prove your brother did blasphemy surely he can't prove your brother threw those papers on the ground and even if he did, that he new there religious text on them. Why couldn't your brother come up with a claim that your uncle committed blasphemy

Of course there was no blasphemy committed by my brother. In a heated argument, my brother threw things off the table. There was no reason for him to commit Blasphemy. But the uncle knew how to use the legal system in a relentless attempt to harass with the goal of putting the brother in prison at least for a few days to assuage uncle's ego. I don't know the details because I wasn't there and it happened about a dozen years ago but my recollection is that there was no legal case except there had to be an 'inquiry'.

I have even heard that a few people can gather outside someone's house and yell: 'This guys committed Blasphemy!!' and it would become a serious threat of not only legal consequences but also imminent lynching.

To you Sri Lankans: As a Pakistani, my sincere apology. It is a national shame especially because a guest in Pakistan was harmed. And if it is any consolation: More Muslim Pakistanis suffer at the hand of such cruel and stupid laws than any non-Muslims. But more often than not, such incidents are because of property or personal disputes.

Utter depravity. This poor man my thoughts with his family.
Arrest every one of them and start to deliver life sentences.

People like you are the reason why i don't mind China putting Muslims in concentration camps.

Same reason i dont mind taliban giving you lots danda right now in afghanistan or iran hanging dirty cancerous kind from cranes. You get what you sow and unfortunely crime of liberal enemy of muslims in muslim mejorty countries are unforgiveable.

Just yesterday I was thinking about taking a trip back and seeing Pakistan and connecting again- and as if on cue it never fails to disappoint why it is a terrorist infested backwater hollow banana republic which no longer represents a piece of my life or who I am.

same here ! Call it a state of fear! I would not travel in Pakistan without a 9mm Pistol, Allah the Almighty and a 9mm Pistol will be my first choice as guards on earth in Pakistan.

Liberals didn't kill 70k Pakistanis nor did they made Pak an international joke with false flag blasphemy cases
Liberals didn't burn a man to death, liberals didn't go out in your capital city and beet down people for listening to music, liberals didn't kidnap a man for "Islam", liberals didn't wage a war against the state and made it week against India seeking to end it's political power or power to influence the causes y'all hold dear like Palestine etc, liberals weren't the one turning islam into a barbaric cult as far as the world is concerned and percieves it to be due to your actions, liberals aren't the reason that parents fear, cry, get depressed or get scared when a non-muslim convert- due to the reputation of Islam made by the actions of your ilk

Your ilk did did all that,

Gen Tariq rightly said that next WOT will be fought in cities.. (he or the 2000 bombs disposal guy).

TLP must be strogly prosecuted and culprit must be jailed or hanged. To increae its following, TLP creates a scapegoat from time to time. Its like creating a crisis, and then coming forward to 'lead' as a saviour. The worse is that they claim it as 'protectors' of the Prophet's honour.

So they get the relevance and gain power as a result. Also, they get money/funding and political voters.

Lastly, only state can punish people and state must hold its sole monopoly on the use of violence/assault/force.

Feel sad for the sri lankan. Also, who will come invest in Pakistan if foreigners are not safe.
What do we expect when our curriculum glorifies religious vigilantes like Ilm Deen? Even if you pulverize TLP (miraculously), another outfit would replace it. Pakistan's case is one of a drunkard with liver damage who thinks consuming more alcohol would fix his liver. Likes of Imran Khan want more religion shoved down the throats of a polity teetering at the brink of implosion courtesy of religious extremism. The solution is not more religion in such an incendiary situation, even a moron could understand, not Handsome Khan or the crowd of "Islamic patriots: Islam, Pakistan, and then everything else" who would have nothing to do with Pakistan if religious posturing in affairs of state is diluted.

"agar log unhay galay lagan shuru kar dain, then what are we fighting"
"How can you de-radacalise a person and send him to radacalise society."

Also, Pak must compensate his family in terms of loss of livelihood at least.

General Tariq Khan. Led from the front in perhaps the most hostile counter-insurgency operations in modern history. Very clear about who is the enemy and also knows of the larger picture. Even though a Pashtun himself and from the FATA region for generations, has no qualms about calling the TTP as terrorists and destroying them. Like General Naseerullah Babur cut the once mighty MQM to size in 1990s, General Tariq Khan can do the same to TTP/TLP and whatnot.

A little too much truth for the forum!
Indeed, Pakistanis are already very religious and this wise guy Imran Khan, after a lifetime of philandry and gluttony in the West, has turned a Born Again Muslim in his old age and keeps shoving more religion to Pakistanis throat.

@AgnosticIndian
I already clarified that Ilm deen case was different, I think on page 15. Anyway, we must take standard of civil laws and values after 1945 when WW2 ended and UN formed. Ilm din was rightfuly hanged as he broke the law.

On topic: Religion is not bad but anything shoved down by force is bad, even democracy, veganism, etc.

The second point is state can only punish the culprit and no one can take law in his own hands like red mosuqe students, public, etc. We think by aggitation (in protest we normally break things), we can get attention, as media doesn't hype/cover peaceful protests.

Lastly, our society believes in mob justice, encounters, public bashing of criniminals, etc. Every law violation must be taken seriously so that no one can break it, even minors such as crossing red signals, wall chalking, etc Then they glorify that they broke the signal on a highway.

I already argued that Pak must take up its surveliance capabilities as stopping the mob from gathering is the crucial step to maintain the govt writ.

I already clarified that Ilm deen case was different,
you did, but your clarification isn't..... comfortable for most "modern" people. Ilmuddin murdered a blasphemer after the judicial system failed to punish the blasphemer. today, a mob murdered a (perceived) blasphemer before any judicial review.
you have a problem with the lack of judicial review part, most sane and civilized people, hopefully, have a problem with the murder for blasphemy part.
I think it's pretty clear that once you sanction murder for blasphemy, even by the state or glorify a vigilante acting after the state's deliberate lack of action, you've lost the moral high ground, and vigilantes going on a rampage over non-issues shouldn't then come as a surprise.

Let's not have a knee-jerk reaction. Maybe there was actual blasphemy and punishment for which should be death, but it should be up to the courts to decide not some random mob.
Nooooooo

Who makes the mob judge jury and executioner.

Will you please use your brain b4 your keyboard. These animals may do this to you or your family soon
