Even the cobras arent stationed in Balochistan where the bulk of insurgency is taking place. FC post was overrun and a fight took place for God knows how many hours. Apparently, the boys don't have the direct authority to call for air support and they will have to wait in the chain of command for someone to respond.

This is complete disregard of the lives of foot soliders stationed at border areas. For Bajwa and top brass, their lives doesn't matter I suppose.

It is a general's duty to understand enemy's tactic, and respond to it in the most efficient
possible way, at a time and place of his own choosing.

This is the same PA that cleaned up Taliban, and they will clean the present threat as well ; however that too took political patch-up to sustain.

No. Kayani's time was the most difficult. People hated the army at the time due to Musharraf's shenanigans. Soldiers were surrendering/defecting. Most of KPK was handed over to TTP under "negotiations" by ANP. KPK govt. was to move to Abbottabad. Bombs were exploding every day in cities all over Pakistan. Karachi was on fire--minimum 10 killed daily. Our eastern border was hot. There was speculation about American invasion of Pak. This is also when OBL, Salala, and Raymond Davis incidents happened. Major OPs were launched in KPK and FATA. Soldiers up to General's rank were killed. Civil servants, ministers, media members, religious figures, general public etc were killed.

Kayani got us through that time.

Recently during the conflict between Ethiopian troops and Tigray separatist rebels, Ethiopia used all means neccessery to destroy the rebel uprising or at least fight them with full conviction. There are reports the Ethiopian militery committed human rights abuses which they need to be held accountable for. Nonetheless they responded fiercely after rebels undermined the states authority by acting with violence to declare independence.
Pakistani security establishment are unwilling to take the fight to the filthy rag tag BLA.

Defending Pakistan's aerial frontiers is the job of PAF, what would Bajwa know about air combat and tactics... Going by your logic, maybe the PAF chief should now ask Bajwa to do artillery strikes on Afghanistan....
