45 More MiG 29K for Indian Navy.

I think the general perception is that any sale of EMALS would be part of some sort of package deal with part of the Air Wing and certain other componats of the ACC being US-made.

EMALS is a long shot. May be steam catapult with some other deal like Apache/C-130/C-17.
Even F-35 wont go though Pentagon considering Indo-Russian relations.

man f-35c has 0 role in case of subcontinent situation and with the type of strings it will come,,we better invest in something like a navalized pakfa or rafale-m

Nope i think we should save money for indigenous stuff,,,,get good radars like mf-star from israel for the time being but put doublr effort in developing in house.

Drdo has been testing s-band aesa for awacs already and it should develop aesas for other platforms too and our forces should place firm orders regardless of the fact they will not be as good as imported ones initially but this step must be taken. So in terms of stuff like radars, sonars, atgm's,mission computers we must simply stop importing in a phased manner.

Regarding f-35c-------------------never

In case of aircraft carrier we should get all the help from anywhere possible

I'm not against domestic efforts, but the point i wish to make here is that there are certain areas where require helping hands. remember we are not going like Saudi Arabia, just on a buying spree but willing to absorb technology wherever possible.
Russia has been of great help (& probably will continue to be so in future) but as we have seen in Gorshkov deal, sometimes people may want to take advantage if they know a buyer hasn't got option.
i'm not sure how much tech transfer US administration is willing to allow, but there is no harm in negotiating. Strange things happen in Diplomacy.

I am against russian stuff too in case sonars, radars, atgm's etc...............otherwise should be keep on importing till we get a world class product??in say 50 years??

The only way forward for drdo is if it gets big orders otherwise it will never have the money to improve its stuff.

But yes as far as USA is concerned just remember this..........When in 20-25 years our economy grows 3-4 times the current value we will be considered as competitors and treated just like china so we must think hard before making decisions.
