4 Missing After China Vessel Rams Philippines Fishing Boat

No, In my opinion, both the reason that China doesn't act recklessly, that is:
1. She fears Uncle Sam.
2. She fears Uncle Sam.
......

Not with respect to Vietnam. The U.S. Navy is useless when the PLA rolls across the Sino-Vietnamese border. The U.S. Navy is only a problem with respect to a Sino-Filipino conflict or to obstruct trade.

If China wanted to take Hanoi or annex the Northern half of Vietnam, there is nothing you can do to stop it.

There is no country or group of countries in East and Southeast Asia that can militarily defeat us.

China will never dare to attack the land of the Philippines, I bet with you on this.

It is a big mistake in your thoughts. If China attacks VN on the border, they will get a spanking once again, even more painful, because now we aren not fighting against both Pol Pot and China at the same time like in 1979....

U.S. support for Israel and Georgia is shown by billion-dollar aid

You're too stupid to understand the difference between massive total aid given to Georgia and virtually none to the Philippines or Vietnam. Also, a per-capita basis for aid is the most accurate measure of the level of U.S. support.

However, you're dumb as a rock and I'm tired of pointing out these critical differences to you. (Hint: This is my last reply to your ridiculous posts.)

Aside from $1 billion aid (which the U.S. only provides to Israel, Egypt, and tiny Georgia), the U.S. also shows its support through action. For example, the United States sent two aircraft carrier battle groups through the Taiwan Strait in 1996 to show support for Taiwan.

Have you seen any U.S. carrier battle groups near Huangyuan Island?

[Note: U.S. billion-dollar aid to Egypt is qualitatively different. It is to buy them off.]

No. The point is that U.S. "pivot to Asia" must manifest itself in concrete actions. Otherwise, it is just empty words.

With U.S. support, further analysis is warranted. Without U.S. support, there is no contest and any further discussion is pointless.

the U.S gave USD $667 million in foreign aid to the Philippines for 2009-2010.

dont talk crap u tool

Get your facts straight: U.S. aid to poverty-stricken Philippines for 2011 was $102 million

I fail to see the geo-political implications of U.S. non-military aid to the Philippines.

There are 92 million dirt-poor Filipinos. The U.S. gave each of them $1.11. Who cares?

The $1 billion aid for Georgia was intentionally designed as a political message of support. These are two very different circumstances.

Only close U.S. ally Israel receives billion-dollar aid. The U.S. is implicitly attaching great value to Georgia by elevating the tiny country to Israeli levels of aid.

You won't face a combined Southeast Asian assault mate, Singapore and to a large extent Malaysia too, are more in favor of the PRC. Indonesia appears to be wise and staying out of the whole thing too. Thailand is not going to jump on the side of Vietnam and the Philippines either. It's up to those two to resolve the issues via dialogue or face the problem on their own. With you guys having observer status in ASEAN too, they have a perfect platform with which they can sort out the issue diplomatically.

The Philippines would be better off trying to fix their own internal issues than to worry about territorial boundaries right now.

Hehe, if China hurt VN, then we will not hesitate to destroy any ASEAN supporting China, don't forget how we treat Chinese in VN-Laos-Camb in 1979 when they supported China. and don't forget Singapore in inside our Scud-D's range too. With few Scud-D misiile, then Singapore with those China's supporters will nolonger exist:P

We will destroy Singapore when we need, then, no one else will support China in ASEAN any more :P)

LOL u can try. You couldn't do much already in this region with Soviet backing, now you are trying to issue some big threats with just two useless friends, India and the Philippines? Don't try too hard to be a bad boy in this region, it won't do u guys any good.

No one wants confrontation with China, especially the small countries such as PH and VN. However, we don't sit to watch so that our territoral water be taken away.

And In this topic, that is innocent fishermen killed.

If the Philippines did not over national pride that pushed the US out of Subic Bay, maybe it did not leave the deadly power vacuum in the SCS.

If calculated according to the corresponding area, PH should allow 400 USS modern warships presence there.

Pinoy Fishers: Chinese Vessel Rammed Our Boat

Vice Admiral Tan meanwhile said that based on the statement given to them by one of the survivors, the vessel that rammed
them was marked with blue and maroon paint both on the top and freeboard portions while a word “HONGKONG” was seen
somewhere near the rear part of the ship.

This deliberate hit-and-run by the Chinese vessel was not caught on tape so I think China would deny that a Chinese ship is the culprit. I think it's a Chinese state sanctioned act to terrorize Filipino fishermen from fishing in their own fishing grounds and
provoke the Philippine gov't.

Japanese Media Captured Chinese Marine Surveillance Attacking Vietnamese Boats

It is interesting that on February 28th, several China’s newspapers strongly denied the accusation that China Maritime
Surveillance (CMS) shot at Vietnamese fishing boats or did not have any clash with any Vietnamese fishing boats.

Today, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei finally admitted an incident occurred between CMS and Vietnamese boats
but no force was used in what he termed an illegal fishing incident.

Picture is worth a thousand words. Japan’s Kyodo News reported the incident with a captured image of CMS spraying and
attacking Vietnamese fishing boat on the 25th. Further, forensic evidence shows Vietnamese boat was shot with bullets. Chinese troops confiscated $25,000 worth of fish catch from Vietnamese fishermen.

Filipino ships have no business in Chinese 1,000-year-old territorial waters from the Han Dynasty.

You Filipinos are illegal trespassers on Chinese territory.

Bro, Singaporen leaders do not (so-called) supporte China.
Let's look at 4 Uncle Sam warships presence in Singapore and hear their leaders said: "Trust me, Uncle Sam the Indispensable"...
You yourselves assessment these things.

It's starting to become more clear now that the Philippines fishing boat might have been intentionally ram by the vessel from China on orders from higher authority , otherwise they would have not left the fishermen behind after hitting their boat without any attemp to assist them if it was an accident ...

A Chinese vessel last week rammed a Philippine fishing boat north of the disputed Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea, killing a Filipino fisherman and leaving four others missing.

Executive Director Benito Ramos of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) yesterday said the Chinese vessel might have intentionally hit the fishing boat AXL John on Wednesday, but the vessel did nothing to help the fishermen.

"They did not [help],” Ramos said. “That’s why it’s suspicious. If it was accidental, then they should have helped.”

The AXL John may have been the first casualty in the dispute between China and the Philippines over Scarborough Shoal. Manila refers to the area as Panatag Shoal and Bajo de Masinloc

The state-owned China News Agency (CNA) reported on Saturday that a Chinese official had ordered navy ships to target “Filipino vessels that hang around” Scarborough Shoal “and don’t leave.”

The order of Rear Adm. Yin Zhuo, director of the People’s Liberation Army Navy’s (PLAN) Information Expert Committee, came as an answer to President Benigno Aquino’s statement on Wednesday that he would order Philippine vessels back to the shoal if air surveillance found China still had vessels there.
