Benapole, Nov 4 (UNB) – Four Bangladeshi cattle traders sustained bullet injuries in a gun attack by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Agrobhulat border here early Sunday.

The injured were identified as Amir Hossain, son of Rabiul Islam, Sharif Hossain, son of Abdul Kuddus, Reza Mia, son of Abdul Wahab and Shaukat Ali, son of Akbar Ali of Agrobhulat village.

Mosharraf Hossain, in-charge of 23 BGB Agrobhalut camp, said BSF members of Jhaudanga Camp fired on a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders when they were returning home along with cattle, leaving four of them injured.

Their associates rescued the injured and sent them to Jessore Medical College Hospital.

I was watching a TV programme on cattle trade... They interviewed some smugglers... They are actually farmer in border area.... Large number of cows come to Bangladesh Border from different parts of India... The news of cow arrival reaches Bangladesh side... Then bangladeshi farmers cross the border and buy those cows, then they sell in Bangladesh with large profit...... The profit is so huge that they cant resist crossing Border... At a time a group of 3-4 men bring 10-15 cows!!

You did not post couple of important thing that Indian BSF gets bribe and let the cow cross the border. If BSF dnt get the money what they demand or the cow traders try to bypass them only then these sob shoot these people.

Ohhh come on we need beef and your poor farmers want to sell them that is how more then 1.5 million cows come to Bangladesh. You lot better legalize the cow trade. You lot are lecturing secularism and promoting religious fundamentalism by not allowing cow trade legally at the border. In this way your poor farmers can be benefited and Bangladesh can get quality cow as in the present process we cant see well what is the condition of the present cow.

Good job BSF, you know what they say, prevention is better than cure, and I am glad Indian Paramilitary is realizing this and taking appropriate action...

Once these illegals get into our country, they would not be willing to leave, not to mention that Bangladesh with its poor economy would not want to burden itself with additional stomachs to feed. So we need to deal with this issue before they invade our country...
