3rd FAC: PNS Himmat Commissioning Ceremony

Modp 2016 stated development of missile system launcher with one anti ship and one land attack missile so launcher can carry various type of missiles not just one type , again guess based on modp 2016

.
its same Class ( Azmat ) right? and with round tube missile launcher its the first unit right ??
@HRK @Penguin ?
This is Azmat class with different AShM, yes.

What is strategic importance and role of such a small ship who cannot even defend themselves from even small attacks ?

@HRK @Penguin
Why does China have Type 022 (which has even less armament than Azmat class)? What do you think?

Look at 1.21. This one has manned forward Chinese twin gun replaced with a remote control Turkish 30mm gun. It also looks like there is something additional behind the missile launchers, near the stern (could be a crane, could be something else: stern view pic please!).

This mount could take Thales LMM missile, a lightweight air-to-surface and surface-to-surface missile under development by Thales Air Defence. Development began in 2008 and the 8km LMM uses technology from an earlier Thales missile, the [Shorts] Starstreak.

SMASH is a remotely operated stabilized weapon station fitted with 30mm Mk44 Bushmaster-II Canon.

SMASH configurations incorporate advanced features as remote operation, built-in electro-optic sensor system for autonomous operation, day and night operation, stabilized turret, automatic target tracking (detect, track and fire on the move) and ballistic computation.

SMASH System has a stabilized turret which enables the line-of-sight of the gun to be aimed at the target at all times. Due to the stabilization feature, the system can perform precise firings against stationary or moving targets while the platform is on-the-move.

System can be operated remotely by using the remote gun control unit and hence provides gunner protection against counter fire. Besides, SMASH System is capable of firing 200 rounds per minute with its dual feed 30mm automatic cannon.

As opposed to fixed sight systems used on 12.7mm STAMP and 25mm STOP systems, SMASH incorporates a seperately stabilized electroptical suit which can move in elevation and azimuth axes relative to gun. This ensures effective firing at long distances by enabling line-of-sight stay on the target at all times, even during the firing where ballistic correction is applied to the gun. The separately stabilized electroptical sight also enables surveillance and target tracking without aiming the gun to the target.

I don't see why not.

There is CIWS gun on back side, probably for preventing some AntiShip Missiles but if RAM launcher can be put than why you think PN did not put it ? RAM would have improve the performance of Ship ..

shoot & scoot + anti ship

this thing is discussed previously in relevant thread in detail plz go through those threads
But given the radar coverage indians have through air and surface ship ,,, will it be really effective ? I mean will these boats will get a chance to go close enough to shoot without putting themselves in danger ?

why not .... ??? this ship is having missile which is supposedly having more range than ship based C-802 missiles

shoot and scoot works if the vessel is fast and/or stealthy. Azmat is neither fast nor that stealthy according to modern standards.

mate it isn't the third but the forth of its kind we launched the third ship few months ago

Bhai it is the third One in Pakistan Navy, i.e. Azmat, Dehshat & Himmat (this one). 4th one is under-construction at KSEW at present.

Who said you this bhai, claim with a source?

Very right bro, Its look like a Inflatable Boat Launcher. Look at the very right side of this image. It is also seems to have decoy launchers on the upper deck

Behind the launcher is a crane ?? Usually there are smaller fast boats on the back for boarding other ships and patrols etc and crane to put it at sea??? Or in some case they slide back like on azmat fac, crane means they are heavier or the sliding back option is not being used and needed to be lifted and put to sea

But Crane type eqpt also on azmat fac so it's for reloading missile launchers
