Maybe Chinese as well as Vietnamese members can agree and stop talking of the past (at least for a while) and begin to discuss topics of today and future. The aim of the Chinese warships visit is to promote and inscrease tie between China and Vietnam.

I wonder whether Vietnamese officials made visit on the ships?

I think you have wrong information. The title Tĩnh Hải quân Tiết độ sứ was rejected when Ngo Quyen Claimed himself as King.
By the year 938 In 938, Southern Han sent troops to conquer autonomous Giao Châu. Ngô Quyền, Dương Đình Nghệ's son-in-law, defeated the Southern Han fleet at the Battle of Bạch Đằng River (938). He then proclaimed himself King Ngô and effectively began the age of independence for Vietnam.
Ngô Quyền's untimely death after a short reign resulted in a power struggle for the throne, the country's first major civil war, the upheaval of Twelfth Warlords (Loạn Thập Nhị Sứ Quân). Bai means Hundred, Yue is name of ethnicity, they lived in Southern of Mainland China today in ancient time. Origin Han people lived in the middle terrain of China. Because in southern China were living many different kind of ethnicity. "Hunred tye of Yue" called by Han people. Han people and Yue or Bai Yue people are different type (or race) in ethnicity.

There are many independence countries in India such as Pandyan and Chola before the Mughal Dynasty, they were all using different languages. Tell me, which ONE of them is India?
