MUMBAI: In a startling move, Mumbai attacks' accused on Monday pleaded guilty to all charges in the court during the trial.
Kasab for the first time narrated to the court the entire plot behind the Mumbai terror attacks. Kasab confessed in court that he came in a boat from Karachi along with nine other terrorists.
Sir, mujhe mera gunah kabul hai (I plead guilty to my crime), Kasab told the court.
Speaking to Times Now, Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam said that Kasabs admission was unexpected. Kasab has admitted to all the charges against him. It is a great victory for all of us, Nikam said.
On Sunday, Islamabad had acknowledged that besides Ajmal Kasab, two more of the ten terrorists who attacked Mumbai on 26/11 Imran Babar and Abdur were Pakistani nationals.
The acknowledgment is part of the 26/11 dossier Pakistan handed over to India last week, which says that determination about the nationality of Babar and Abdur Rahman has been made on the basis of DNA samples.
This marks the first time when Pakistan has accepted that the attackers of Mumbai, Kasab included, were its citizens.
In fact, authorities in Pakistan had started by contesting Kasab's disclosure about his being a citizen of village Farid Kot of Okara district. Though investigation by a TV channel and, later, statement of Kasab's kin forced them to accept the fact, it is the first time that the acknowledgement has been made in a document handed over to India.
