22 Photos That Show How Beautiful Pakistani Weddings Are

Do Muslims all over the world wear garlands during the ceremony or is this influence from Hinduism and only in the subcontinent?
Hinduism the culture and not the system of belief has a lot of significance as it extends beyond the borders of India.
For the most part, Islam had blended into the lives and culture and created a unique identity that blended the delivery mechanism of Hinduism with the message of Islam.

Even in its extremely ridgid form during united hindustan it still kept some cultural amalgamation of Hinduism, persian ans Turkish roots along with core Islamic practices.

Also wasteful and needlessly extravagant for what is essentially about the groom and bride being able to have sex without taboo.
Like Sir @Indus Falcon says "In our society committing zina /illegal sex is easier than Nikah / Marriage."

Weddings should be as simple as possible, but unfortunately it's turned into 3 / 4/ 7 day circus, depending upon the money one has.

I don't understand this comment o_O

There all kinds of Muslims, and everyone has their own culture, for e.g. South Asian Muslims have alike culture, Arab Muslims have a different culture, Malaysian and Indonesian Muslims have their own culture.

Faith is the same - Culture is different

It is unfair to say that couples should or celebrate what is undoubtedly a momentous occasion in their lives. Yet, it is no longer about the occasion and more about competition.
There is a difference in having a wondeful fairytale day and in spending $1 million on a wedding.

Sure, is is your money and you can and should do what you want with it; but in my personal opinion it has negative impacts on society and increases a sense of subconscious deprevation amongst the less privileged.. leaving aside the obvious impact of having better uses for that money.. like a Ferrari 599 gtb fiorano.

Yet that is ignored by all the Islamphobes you only see Baghdadi and his 500000 or like minded brethern.

Even if we take 10 million crazy Muslims.. that is 10 million out of a Billion!

its not even about society, back then people used to have this respect of being with an individual with a purpose. A goal and because they have good intentions they respected boundaries.

Now it's trial and test, lose respect, easily replaceable. Nothing is genuine.

Like my Father says, in his days the girl would be the respect of the guy and he would be a Man and seek her hand, now Men aren't Men anymore and it's all games. Mind you some girls aren't saints either

and then still people expect good and pure men for their daughters....this singleness of a men for so long is also one of the reason why people go join terrorists...according to a report some years ago , men who want marriage but family doesnt want them to get married now and at the same time the men wants to stay in the fold of religion , thwy get fooled by terrorist organziatins saying that these r true jihad groups and joining them would give u shahdat but truth is they get fooled and in the end loose everything....parents must understand their sons now else our country / religion is doomed after 1 more generation

Well that is a minuscule part of the population. But nonetheless Parents will be held responsible.

Unfortunately those who can afford to have their kids married off at a reasonable age, don't either.

We need to say it to them straight. Islam came 1400 years ago, Iraq and Syria were reading The Noble Qu'ran and Hadiths for 1400. ISIS came in to the scene in 2003 AFTER the invasion of destabilising the Countries and allowing rogue groups to take control with weaponry that says 'Made in America' - go figure.

To have this belief that there's something wrong in the scriptures, that the foundations of Islam promotes violence is absolutely incorrect.

Islam is targeted easily because it's the ONLY Faith economically functional. Infact era of Caliphate during Abu Bakr - Uthman (R.A) and the way they ran countries in terms of tax/systems/people are copied by the West because their strategies were brilliant.

There wasn't a case of extremism - they were literate for 10yrs plus in The Qu'ran and its interpretations - it was implemented.

Iraq, Syria and Libya weren't attacked because of 'extremists' it's because their governments were no longer prepared to exchange oil for paper money but gold, which ultimately would drop the US dollar, they had no central banks, and were debt free.

Destroy a country's infrastructure/economy and have them in debt is practically enslaving a country and easier to control.

Some of these so-called Islamphobes are ignorant media fed air heads.
