I read a news about US middle school mathematics team that won prizes in international fields. All of the 6 the team members are Asia, among which 4 members are Chinese. And president Obama congrats them in the White House. US always attracts so many talents world wide. It is really a pity that many top scientists are moving to US for sake of better payment.

Scientists are people too, so it is natural for them to look for places that provide better employment. This is why economic progress is so important for a nation. If we want to attract more talents than US, then we have to keep improving our economy.

看了，那些国家很多选手要么是中国人要么就是华裔。中国人民的智慧绝对是无穷的...可恨的是每年流失好多人才。
没想到连古典音乐也很强悍，这可是欧洲国家的传统项目，难怪很多中国孩子从小就学这个。

这些东西很多时候是态度的问题，只要肯花力气去钻研就能出成果。这方面中国人绝对是世界上最厉害的。

至于人材流失的问题，说白了就是我们还需要努力。近些年的留美后回国的人比前十年就多了很多，这就说明只要我们的国家更加繁荣，这些问题就会自然解决的。

Strictly speaking, their result is not bad at all. However, you can definitely see the effect of last decade of economic depression on the nation. People are becoming less driven, etc.

是的，中国的太空技术，国防技术已经充分证明了这点。
跟中组部千人计划，长江学者有关吧，而且有些一线城市对于留学归国人员有落户奖励。物质奖励是一方面的，国内氛围有点那个，派系斗争吧，窝里横，有才能的人如果不懂官场规矩，会被排斥的。比如那个施一公，竞选中科院院士失败，现在是美国院士...硬生生把人逼走。

If you see China's team's ranking, it will be surprising that the NO. 1 team each year is not China.

BTW, if we look at the IMO teams from USA, Canada, they are almost like team China.

Well, you won't be surprised to seem many Chinese in team HK, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, UK and etc...

The same happens to ICHO, IPHO and IOI.
