@Horus In start history section looks very fishy to me,but still the main problem is that no one from unit tells anyone that he is or was part of unit,knowing of training and doctrine is behind question,but still they use tribal techniques of tracking,booby traps and cutting tools ,Tribal who once formed first unit against miscreants supported by India and Afghanistan,These guys did remarkable job in FATA from 1950 to 1989,after that there presence was lowered in FATA and we paid price by having TTP.

Finally incontrovertible proof that the Pakistani Army invaded Kashmir that no Pakistani wants to believe but blame India instead. The PA with the help of the tribesmen managed to reach the outskirts of Srinagar when the Indian Army arrived just in time and threw them back to what is now known as the LoC.

So according to you, what has been written by a decorated Pakistan brigadier is all crap? Grow up kid and learn to face the truth and believe your own army officers. It's an insult to them when you contend that what they've written is all crap.

Hahaha mate it was the other way around. it was your forces who entered into Kashmir first and they took hard beatings from PA and tribesmen and that is how we were able to libarate half of Kashmir. I know my history more then you do. Go and read about 1948 war from independent sources and then come and talk to me the main reason of that war was that India sent troops in there to take control Of whole Kashmir.

• Covert Action Division

CAD is generally considered the most secretive special operations force of Pakistan. Responsible for paramilitary and covert operations as well as special activities. Tasked to collect INTEL in dense hostile environment and act as special warfare unit of ISI.

• Mission

These operatives often operate in remote locations behind enemy lines to carry out direct action (including raids and sabotage), counter-intelligence, guerrilla/ unconventional warfare, counter-terrorism, and hostage rescue missions, in addition to being able to conduct espionage via HUMINT assets.

• History and Formation

Originally a Pashtun militia, fought several battles in last 215 years starting from Sikhs then British and finally was merged in OCT 1947 with PA, were tasked to liberate Kashmir and in spite of no area knowledge and no good weaponry succeeded in liberating huge part of Kashmir. After formation of ISI in 1948 and problems caused by FIQAR of IPI, a group of die hard person’s from militia and Gilgit scouts were taken and trained they formed new directorate of ISI, their main task was to counter influence of FIQAR of IPI and if he starts a insurgency with help of Afghans then cause a denial to his efforts until main force of PA arrives. In start mostly was formed out of Pashtun Guerilla fighters who fought Sikhs and British from father to son that’s why Covert Action Division traces its history back to 1800.Until formation of SSG it was a unit like dedicated commando unit, In 1960 they were known to West but only there name , In 1980 unit received training from CIA, assisted Afghan Mujahidin took part in many battles against soviets, till date little is known about unit. Until November 1954 unit was mostly aimed to counter insurgency in Waziristan but after that it’s role was slowly expanded new unit was raised in East Pakistan. Working mechanism of Unit remains unknown they belong to that part of Pakistan Defense, which are totally under dark blanket and little or nothing about them is known outside High Brass.

• Training

CAD operatives are trained in home developed tactics developed during journey of 215 years. They are also trained in to a high level of proficiency in the use and tactical employment of an unusually wide degree of modern weaponry, IED’s and IW’s IITM, explosive devices and firearms (foreign and domestic), hand to hand combat, high performance/tactical driving (on and off road), apprehension avoidance (including picking handcuffs and escaping from confinement), improvised explosive devices, cyberwarfare, covert channels, parachuting, SCUBA diving, proficiency in foreign languages, surreptitious entry operations (picking or otherwise bypassing locks), vehicle hot-wiring, Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE), extreme survival and wilderness training, combat EMS medical training, tactical communications, and tracking.After fall of soviet unit they got some knowlege of soviet spetsnaz.

• Recruitment

Today it consists of Personal’s from SSG,SSW, and SSGN on deputation , Police force personal from whole country and its own highly trained personal.
