How can you compare Durand line to LOC. Geographical difference are alone miles apart. Please go read read about the geography of area before making such comparisons. TTP claims are usually more accurate. ISPR divides their casaulties by ten or five.

These heavy artillary are useless in close combat, taliban usually comes in close quarters and rains AK47 and RPGs on the post. Heavy machine guns are used by army so it is also lethal mission for taliban. Generally army is in the best position as they are at hieght and bunkered

The banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed the responsibility for the two attacks near Rawalpindi and Bajaur.

In a statement, TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said the suicide bombing near Fateh Jang was carried out by a TTP bomber while they also engaged in cross-border firing in Bajaur.

As opposed to ISPR’s record of casualties, the TTP spokesman claimed that the Taliban killed about 20 armymen in Bajaur attack which comes in the wake of military action and airstrikes in the North Waziristan tribal region.

The intelligence sources also cite the involvement of Mullah Fazlullah led militants, based in Kunar and Nuristan along Bajaur and Mohmand agencies, in the cross-border attacks along with some foreign elements.

The attack is also likely to cast another blow to the currently hampered peace process with TTP. The two parties had even managed to agree on a ceasefire which lasted for 40 days but was not renewed in the wake of bomb blasts in parts of the country.

what we need is this, trust me bro just look at south Korea a country smaller then Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa & F.A.T.A , but just look at their determination, they have fenced the entire Manchurian terrain of the North-South Korea border !, just take a look at the fence & their soldiers, their gears, kits, these guys are literally a class apart, when it comes to border management, & that too in a mountainous terrain like that of Korea, they literally climbs mountains & walk's through steep edge's to guard the sanctity of their land ! now that is what I call a great people of a proud nation !

That border is only 250 km long
