12 Days Left - LCA races to meet its target date

Meanwhile, there are some news that LCA will get 8.5 g certification soon before it is certified for even Higher g limit up to 9 g.

AOA may be further increased. High AOA has given Tejas an ability for fly at just 100 knot. Ghat Gripen does with canard, Tejas does it without canard. Algorithm developed by IIT Bombay will auto recover the plane if pilot looses control and speed goes bellow 100 knot in dog fighting. There are news that Software updation will continue even after FOC. Tejas has reached a stage where it will pay off all delays. IAF which once upon a time was unwilling to accept the plane is now eagerly awaiting for it.

good point.
goes to show how important is project management along with clear and defined scope with a deadline.

Veey correct but the point here to be noted is that we bigin with a concept of a point defense fighter and ended up with and ultra modern multi-role fighter with whole eco system. We closed a technology gap of 3tions decade. This plane put as at par with something like Saab of swwden in a league of top nations making such planes. This is just a bigining. Lot more has yet to come like ISRO.

In HAL and similar organization.
There is
Zero accountability
Zero competition
Huge political and beurocratic clout.
The entire Rafale controversy was the brain child of such clout..

Tejas as a plane is not bad as point defence fighter.
Problem is with the execution of rhe project.
Ideal solution is to handover the prodcution part to pvt players once the prototype is finalized.

Only shortcoming is RANGE... But that can be handled by external fuel tanks... which will decrease the payload...

People on PDF forget that we have designed and developed this jet... without any prior knowledge and ecosystem of modern jet...

While some people were happy with flying jet in their air force... IAF wanted a fighting machine...

MK 2 will be a more capable jet...

From very credible sources I got to know how IAF and IA top brass has developed a taste for RUSSIAN DELIGHTS... commission agents were everywhere...

The only deal where commission was most probabky taken was Augusta Chopper deal.
Russians are not ss much favored by IAF these days..
IA has fee choices..

Old days...

When you have to compare J 10 with Mig 21 to show that they are better, it tells a story about J 10.
Actually I was comparing Chinese J-7 to your Mig-21s. Both decades old planes, but look at the crash rate of the IAF. It has something to do with the people, not the plane.

400 J-10s, compared to less than a dozen 'operational' Tejas? What's there to compare?:rofl::rofl::rofl:

May be not so as chinese. We do not want planes for bragging. We need them for fighting and that is why these rigorous testing. Low tech plane like J 10 do not require to undergo such testing.
Indians don't want to brag? Gosh this is something new.:rofl::rofl::rofl:. Rigoroues testing? Or using 'testing' as an excuse to cover the incompetence? Who tests a plane for 10 years?:lol::lol:. Might as well test it for another 20 years since you are sooooo high tech. I remember your Air Force Chief called Tejas a gen 3++ plane. :enjoy:

You should care about your falling j10 which is a aerodynamic disaster.
