Very much part of the Indian cusine. then again.. depends on the culture of particular community & locality! Like Coorg.. it's a hilly kinda place & pork is very much part of their cuisine..
 
Adivasi tribals in the east of our country have been eating pork for as long as anyone can remember. Of course theirs is more wild boar and not so much the domesticated farm pigs.

very much so!! Down south hunting wild boar is not just a part of sport.. also necessity as they distroy crops & farm lands. Myself have been in couple of boar hunting trips around my neck of the woods!!
