Arabs hate the term "Persian Gulf" and call that body of water the "Arabian Gulf." Yet the most appropriate name may be "Shia Gulf". The Shias in the north coast of the Gulf are Persian and those in the west and southern coasts are Arab, but all are Shia regardless.

Saudi Oil Firm Aramco Targeted by Yemen

The Arabic-language Al-Mayadeen television reported minutes ago that Aramco's oil facilities in Zahran have come under attack by Yemen's tribal forces.

Meantime, a tribal source said his tribe has pounded "Aramco's facilities in Zahran Asir in the Southern parts of Saudi Arabia".

Local people residing in nearby area said they have heard loud blasts at Aramco's oil installations and "smoke is spiralling up from the facilities".

Saudi oil companies have oil facilities both in Zahran in the Easternmost parts of the country near Bahrain and in Zahran Asir in the South.

"The Yemeni nation and tribes will no more show patience about the aggression and the siege imposed by Saudi Arabia and its allies," tribal and religious leader Sheikh Ali Sanan al-Qouli was quoted as saying by the Yemeni news agency Khabar on Monday.
"We condemn this crime of the Saudis that no wise or even criminal person would commit. Yemen's nation and its important tribes have always turned Yemen into a grave for the aggressors all throughout the history," he added.
Qouli called on Riyadh to stop its illogical acts, and warned, "The Yemeni nation has not and will not allow anyone to occupy even an inch of its homeland."
