What's new

More arrogance from Arabs

They can always screw you on cheep oil supply and financial aid. Well it's not much of a harm but will certainly hurt your economy.
its a myth check all the records, we dont get cheap oil from the arabs..for God sake...
yes we do receive a collective of 200-400 million dollars every year in aid, but we receive similar amounts from japan and European and USA too, as do many other poor nations.

Article is more of frustration, Pakistani parliament's decision to remain neutral is not because of fear of Iran, we simply don't want to be cannon fodders in your stupid games of influence. I wish that General Sharif stick to decision of parliament and ignore the wish of NS. What max they can do? send expats back? If they do so than they will loose one major leverage and influence over Pakistan forever, Maybe they will send some laborers back who can be accommodated by speeding up construction and developement in Gawadar.
surprisingly its not neutral but supports the Yemeni govt, we just said no boots on the ground

If Pakistani labourers are sent back from gulf it would be the best possible scenario.

This means cheap labour for Pakistan to build its cities.

Pakistan have millions of unemployed people.

Can anyone explain why this shia card is played all the time on this forum? Does this mean if in future Pak have any conflict with Iran these shias will support Iran over Pakistan?

Easy bhai Easy.

UAE has been a great destination for our active/retired military personnel.

And yes they do have high expectation from us, as we are the only "capable" force in the region that can bring peace to Yemen.

Heck we can do the same in Iraq, and Syria and Libya too.

So no need to make fun of desperation that is now showing up in UAE and even in Saudi arabia.

Remember one thing.

If you are the best cancer surgeon in your region, and god forbid someone get the cancer, where should they go?
to you or some quack sitting on the road side?

And if the patient's relatives come to your door crying, would you call them arrogant?

No. you will put on your white coat and go see the patient.

Similarly this is the time for Pakistanis to put on the uniform and go treat the patient aka Yemen and KSA.
Thank you
well, they should have thought about this day a decade back. They tok pakistan for granted as we have helped them in 90s and hell even recently in Bahrain. they didn't invested in Pakistan in anyway and now they are asking for troops...it doesn't work that way.
had the GCC just invested 20-30 billion dollars in Pakistan (its less than 10% of GCC investment fund) they would have had enough say to do so.
they should ask from Egypt, where they invested over 10 billion dollars in military aid and pledged over 25 billion dollars in building new capital city

Honestly, apart from Pakistanis in Gulf its not like they are investing anything in Pakistan. More Indians in gulf then Pakistanis, they should ask them to send some troops.

No matter how big the "destination" be, this is a matter of your national pride. Ask an American to go work for the KSA when they may be against us, probably no one will. When it comes to your country, you don't care. You do what's best for your country.
These guys disrespected 200!million people's parliament because they treat Pakistanis like slaves. What Pakistan did, was to send a clear message, " change your ways". The interior minister blasted the UAE minister by asking him to apologize and that it's unacceptable. To cool shiit off, they sent in his senior minister who also apologized.
Has this ever happened? No. But this is a great beginning, this is the government putting their foot down like India does, for her citizens. This is the gov't of Pakistan saying, our blood, people and integrity isn't that low. Whether they end up joining to protect KSA is a different story, but Pakistan hasn't itself above many nations. And the Arabs have gotten the message loud and clear!!

Don't be too sure yet. The PM is flip flopping his statements at the moment. Wait and see what the outcome is.

Would Turkey like a bordering nuclear Iran as much as Pakistan would?

Iran is already nuclear, and we are fine with it. I guess you tried to say a Iran with WMD's. If thats the case, then an arms race would be triggered which would rapidly spread into more WMD's being developed by Turkey and Saudi-Arabia.

Indians never claim Arab ancestry and Bhiradari!! :p:

Right a basic tip on manners. If you want somebody's help then rather than calling them losers, blackmailers etc you might wanna try a different approach. You know like "guys we need some help, can you help us out"? Not "oy you blackmailing scum, come and help us!"

This the same Kuwait that Pakistan had sent troops, to liberate it in 1991. As part of operation desert storm. They are just returning the favor now. The Kuwaiti way, of course.

And now they want Pakistan to take part in operation decisive storm.

See the irony?

PS. by the way, after their liberation in 1991, Kuwait went on to make trillions of dollars from oil, trade and investment. How much they helped Pakistan out?

I remember that General Musharraf in his last year in office was in financial trouble. He requested the Arab world to help him out and even went on a tour to Saudi Arabia and other countries. None helped. They all wished for his downfall.

Did you really think Pakistani troops drove out Iraqi army from Kuwait ?

Kuwait!!

When it says it can defend itself, tell them to f** off!

nice try

india = 7x pop compared to Pakistan

we don't have 7x exposure in terms of number of expatriates. we never get involved for a few dollars like some of your politicians and military generals

Still more Indians then Pakistanis in gulf countries.

Yeah, but you claim to be best of friends with the Saudi king.
We never claim that we are best friends to anyone unlike Pakistanis who never miss an opportunity to boast about their relations with the Chinese. We never have to claim anything. It becomes pretty evident from the kind of reception our Ministers and Diplomats get in foreign countries including the Arab Nations.

You see India never claims to be in the camp of any other country or to be someone else's bi*ch.But it is a fact that authority and economic prowess is recognised world over.
