Possible steps to counter the rising threat from IAF ?

I cant believe a Pakistani is arging that a F16 with conformal fuel tanks
(which they don't have anyway)
Will fly fully loaded with weapons from inside a Pakistani air base right across india for 1600 KM

undedected

DROP ITS LOAD

then fly back 1600 KM

to be greated WITH FLOWERS

can we have a BIT OF COMMON SENSE please

Operational planning[edit]
The distance between Israeli military bases and the reactor site was significant—over 1,600 km (990 mi).[51] The Israeli planes would have to violate Jordanian and/or Saudiairspace in a covert flight over foreign territory, making mid-air refueling unfeasible.[37][52][53] The Israelis eventually concluded that a squadron of heavily fueled and heavily armed F-16As, with a group of F-15As to provide air cover and fighter support, could perform a surgical strike to eliminate the reactor site without having to refuel.

Wow...that is a much more serious threat than I thought!!!
Again the question...why is everybody ignoring the tejas.
Multi mode radar, digital FBW system, HMS, Mayavi EW suite, a wide range of missiles etc etc is not a thing which you can ignore!
It's not a case of ignoring (well maybe in some cases) but the unknown- the LCA is, to many, still a "paper plane" so it will take time for this perception to change once the LCA is in operational service and proving itself.

i am not stating we can do it, i am stating it has already been done by F-16s before without fuel tanks.

and yes we have 36 tanks that can be used on 18 aircrafts

You really think the PAF could get through the IAF's air defences on the Western front AND past the MKI (and MiG-29UPG) SQDs based West and Central India? I was imagining something a little more cunning i.e. flying due south then East in an attempt to fly past some of the most militarised airspace in the world.

Still makes it a one-way trip for the top end of your fighter fleet, leaving your skies wide open to the IAF who would decimate your military installations in retaliation.

haha, no it cannot.
but the point of discussion is not that, its whether F-16 have the range to do so!!!
i am here having an academic discussion not playing dooms day scenarios
your colleague said f-16s doesnt has the range to do so.

Its stupid to discuss with you people , you are arguing on something that has been done practically..!!
I asked you a simple question

with cft I would like to know how much fuel will the vipers be carrying and what would be the weapons config for the sead mission......
and after bombarding the Indian bases.....how the f16s are planning to return

I didn't realise the discussion had become about the range of the F-16, I thought it was about the ability of the PAF to hit IT hubs in the South of India which they simply cannot. The F-16's range is thus entirely irrelevant.

there no fix book regarding mission profiles, it depends upon the situation.
with conformational fuel tanks it can carry 3000 additional liters, effectively doubling its range
now, 1600km strike has been done before without conformational fuel tanks

no, the discussion was that banglore is not 2300kms but 1600kms and that PAF hypothetically can hit it provided there been no Strong IAF.
