Jordan ready to ‘stop Israeli attacks’ on al-Aqsa Mosque

:woot:

Well bro to be honest your Pakistanis brother summed it all pretty well: 'Jordan is only ready to be part of a american or any western coalition that will fight Muslims.'

He isn't that far off though with that statement.Thing is Jordan is simply too small and insignificant to be able to do anything much. It has basically no say in what happens in the region. Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Egypt are the main players who at least have a say/influence in the region, even though all of them are subordinate to the U.S as well(well, bar Iran). Jordan is not only under the U.S in addition to this, it has no real influence/say in the region.

I dont see this as a negative thing though, since its a good policy to remain neutral and distance yourself from any trouble in the Arab/mulsim world since its very complex/complicated and can get you into trouble when you make the wrong decisions, like Turkey is finding out with Syria today. So Jordan should keep out of any trouble/remain silent like it has been doing for years. Never change a winning policy.:D
Being neutral is indeed generally a winning policy but I think you grossly underestimate Jordan's regional influence. It is not subordinate to the U.S. as you claim, it joined the anti-ISIS coalition because its own best interest lies in doing so. In fact, since Jordan plays a significant role in this coalition, it can use that leverage to force the U.S. to hold back Israel in situations like this. It can also use its close relations with Washington for this purpose too. Further, Jordan has internationally (including Israel) recognized custodianship over Jerusalem's Muslim and Christian holy places which it can also use to exert its influence. And don't underestimate its military capabilities either, while it's unlikely that it would win in a head-on war with Israel (which has nuclear warheads and the support of the U.S.), it can still cause significant damage to any enemy if it's cornered. Don't mistake Jordan's peaceful nature for weakness.

I almost forgot to mention that Jordan is a member of the UN security council (at least for the time being) and it has used that position to exert its influence on the Palestinian/Israeli conflict among other issues.

Don't worry.
Everything will come together like two bits of bread and jam spread.

Will explain some other day. After all people like you are ignorant enough to use the word "wahabi".
Wahab is a name of God. Play with it like that and you deserve nothing less than to die whether you are
Iraqi or Pakistani.

Btw when people say wahabi, they mean follower of the person Abdul Wahhab, just like a follower of Qutb.. Qutbi, but nowadays all are in the category of wahabi or salafi.

Not the actual meaning

I wonder how many people that are shouting "Wahhabi" left and right have read the works of Sheikh Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab al-Tamimi? This man was born in the year 1703 and died in 1792 at the age of around 88-89 years. Do any of them go against Islam? Do any of them support killings of innocents, suicide bombings (something that did not exist back then), do they call for killings of Shias etc. They don't. So why are people attributing events that happens today with a person that died almost 250 years ago? ISIS are not following the basic tenants of Islam through their action so why are people busy to classify them as something in Islam? Suicide is strictly forbidden in Islam. Thus every person that decides to become a suicide bomber is guilty of a big sin in the understanding of the vast majority of Islamic scholar and Muslims (98%).

Did Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab al-Tamimi proclaim himself as a Caliph? No he did not. Did he for example create some of the moronic laws of KSA (women not able to drive says hello)? No he did not.

The Sheikh himself married an Iraqi Arab lady from Baghdad and had several sons with her and he still has descendants in Iraq (Baghdad) to this day. Don't see them causing any problems.

So I am just curious what they blame that man for.

This is his mosque too. Does not seem as a evil place to me either.

Wahhabi has turned into a slur against almost any practicing Sunni Muslim (especially if he is an Arab and even worse from KSA) and it is getting ridiculous.

Non-Muslims that don't even know the 5 basic tenants of Islam (or anything about Islam as a whole) are shouting Wahhabi left and right against every Muslim almost.

Why are you feeling offended, because you are Pakistani ? I'm doing you a favor dealing with the TTP terrorist.

all they can do is CALL the Israeli ambassador in Amman and smoke some argileh :azn:
They can't even do that. Jordan and all the GCC's keep their thoab above their waste waiting for the "call" like whores in a bordelo!

Jordan is probably the friendliest of any Arab country towards Israel so they must be very good at alienating people right now.
