What's new

Pakistan successfully tests Hatf (Vengeance) III - Ghaznavi SRBM.

There is more to Ghaznavi that meets the eye. It has a particular role within the Strategic command to hit select targets that are of key value to the opposing side.
@Oscar, just spoke to a contact..... as the statement says...''Another Milestone''.....certain criteria has been increased. !!

What makes the Ghaznavi suited for that role over other short-ranged missiles or even the cruise missiles ? :what:

And why didn't they name a missile after me - Yaaar baaat karnaa tuuu inn seh ! :ashamed:

There you go guys.....today's test launch.

People tend to forget that when systems such as the AIM-120 can have series.. or improvements within them
Something like Shaheen-1 and 1A. ??

True however it is apparent now that no new missiles with extended range are developed in this moment in time. Considering how fast our missile program really was, it is sad that our most advance missile has a range of only 2500 Kms which does not even cover the whole of India.

Congratulations,What is the status of Timur and Shaheen3??
not sure about Timur, from what I read here Shaheen 3 is expected to be tested soon
@The Deterrent sir' could you please update us on Shaheen 3
Shaheen-3 is under-development and will be tested soon.
Sir what other material can be fitted in this missile other than nuclear so we can target a small base or for example if enemy tanks are waiting in an area and we want to target that
High Explosive, Fuel-Air Explosive, Bunker-busting warhead, Cluster Munition etc can be used as conventional warheads.
For targeting a large number of tanks like you said, Cluster Penetration Munitions would be required.

@Windjammer any video clip?

It was a training launch tested by the troops at the termination of field exercise so no new development.

@Oscar @The Deterrent @Hyperion

What is the viability of this system with a range of 290kms for an anti armor role?
If or not it would be viable to use this platform to deliver submunitions (clusters) to destroy invading enemy tanks and other armored vehicles?
