China denies visa to top general in Indian Occupied Kashmir

like it or not if it is a disputed region then it will be a disputed region until both sides sorted it out ,if not this kind of problem will keep on happenning.

Then why are we talking about "Tibet"... in a thread about "Visas"?

If people want to bash China, they should at least try to keep to the topic, or open another thread on the issue.

I am talking about Tibet because China has denied Visa because the personnel have served in Kashmir.

I have no interest in China bashing

tsk, tsk, tsk - the indian is always angry, ever so prickly.

Indian anger and aggression seem to know no limit - That Indian is willing to risk relations is a reflection of Adm. Mullen's verbal assurances to the Indian that the US would offer India "assistance" in cae of "hostilities" with China - India seems to be gearing up to be part of the US plan for a larger regional conflict.

Another nonsense conspiracy theory

Balls to you....

That's what our limp-noodle politicians should have been doing right from the beginning. I have been saying this all along and so did defence minister George Fernandes once upon a time that china is India's enemy no 1. Make a NATO-like alliance with countries surrounding china. Many like Indonesia,Japan,Australia,Taiwan,Singapore,Vietnam will be glad to join. And GOI should declare Tibet as disputed. But I dont think GOI has the guts.

china knows our stand better than anybody,if they r repeating this same then there is some thing not good b/w us.
btw y china always says india abt tibet if they r so sure.

You are not texting your buddies. Please post in correct language so we can actually read what you wrote!

well India has to make its force more strong and effective

its just game china and Pakistan are playing

China is just being assertive to show whose is the daddy of Asia. India should stop dreaming and get back to hard work.

New Delhi, Aug 27: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a strongly worded demarche to China describing India's anger on China's refusal of visa to an Indian Army official from Jammu and Kashmir (JK)

China refused the visa to Lt General BS Jaswal, General Officer Commanding in Chief in JK, with a reason that the officer in question serves in JK, which China considers as a disputed area.

On Friday, Aug 27, different Indian media reported that India cancelled all defence exchanges with China. The visa rejection decision by the Chinese government broke out diplomatic war between the two countries.

Angered by Beijing’s move, India barred two Chinese defence officials from visiting India.

Nothing new or unexpected .

Underscores the need to continue to prepare which thankfully India is.

That was a quick response!!..at least Indian politician have some self respect left..unlike some other country's politicians.

It IS a disputed region on the map, so what is the surprise?

Best way to solve these problems is to sort out the border issues.
like it or not if it is a disputed region then it will be a disputed region until both sides sorted it out ,if not this kind of problem will keep on happenning.

Well Arunachal Pradesh was also disputed but Chinese govt. allowed Army generals from there to visit China. See below:

New Delhi found China's behaviour particularly provocative because in August 2009, Lt-Gen V K Singh, currently the Army chief and then the GOC-in-C Eastern Command, had visited China for a similar high-level exchange. If territorial sensitivity was the issue with China, then Singh's visit should have been even more problematic because, as head of the Eastern Command, he had jurisdiction over Arunachal Pradesh, a state that is claimed by China.

China is unnecessarily isolating itself. It cutoff defense relations with US and now India. Vietnam is already edgy and ASEAN are ganging up together to contest south china sea claims. By these actions, China will to blame if it pushes India towards US even though India has repeatedly stated that it wants independent and good relations with both.

China it seems is repeating the mistakes India did with its relation to other SAARC countries. And as India found out, no one likes to be pushed around no matter how small they are.

Agreed kashmir is a disputed area, but denying visa to a high ranking officer is nothing short of insulting india.
