Not really topic related, but man I hope Turkmenistani govt has or introduces a support program for couples making more children. Turkmenistan and other Turkic countries together have big landmass, would be nice if it got filled up more. Time for the Yarakli Kuvveleri to live up to its name :smokin:

russians propaganied the Basmachi was poorly organized mob and bandits but that was not true ofc They have, for example, had their medals:
"Such tokens or medals are in places where there were "people" Junaid Khan (he was chiften of yomud tribe of turkmens ) (Chef-Bassmachis who killed the Khan of Khiva and became amir of Khiva, finally gone to Afghanistan only in 1931), together with coins Bassmachis Junaid Khan 1920-1921-1922."

There is also mention of the military insignia that were used in some detachments (from the book "Basmachestvo" (collection), "Eksmo", "Algorithm", Moscow, 2005):
"Basmachi had military ranks: unbashi (commander of ten), youzbashi (squadron commander), kurbashi (supreme command staff), pansat (commander of a separate Detachment), lyashkar-bashi (the commander of the district), Emir lyashkar-bashi (combining several leadership lyashkar-bashi).
Unbashi were on the right side of his chest two red circles - one inside the other; youzbashi-on the right side of his chest circle with a cross in the middle and two half moon on the right arm above the elbow. "
