Zimbabwe tours Pakistan: Series - May 2015

So who are you to guiding us like that. Besharam indians members at its best

Relax he makes a valid point.

PCB in the short term needs to secure home series with Sri Lanka, Banglas and Zimbabwe. Grow the revenue base, make the spectacle more polished and professional and continue rooting out bad apples within society.

Then invite the big boys over.

We need timeline of 5 years to achieve this. In 10 years time England, South Africa can be considered. But a lot of development needs to take place. They need developed surroundings with alochol available. I am in favor of creating new towns with stadiums with only expats and civilized Pakistanis to live there where alcohol is available with bars. It will keep westerners entertained and their cricket teams will come and tour.

Menace2society makes a valid point, but it need not go so far as for sport cities to be constructed.

I'm a lifelong cricket fan, but I wont go to Pakistan due to it appearing to be unsafe. I use the word appearing as it may or may not be safe. I dont know, I have never been to Pakistan. I have been to India, but always to Mumbai. Its easy and safe to get to Wankhede stadium. If I were, as a England supporter, to visit Pakistan in a test match I would be very interested in how easy the stadium was to reach, and the security.

I have been far more worried about safety in Jamaica. That place can be very scary!

Pakistan must win all three ODIs against Zimbabwe to retain ranking and qualify for ICC Champions Trophy 2015 : ICC

As if the pressure of ensuring that the first home international cricket series on home soil goes off without a hitch was not enough, the International Cricket Council (ICC) said on Monday that Pakistan must win all of its three one day international matches against Zimbabwe if it wants to retain its position on the Reliance ICC ODI Rankings.

Pakistan, which has already won the two Twenty20 matches, will take on Zimbabwe in the first of the three ODIs in Lahore on May 26.

Currently ranked ninth with 87 points, Pakistan start the series just 42 points above 11th-ranked Zimbabwe- who have 45 points.

If Pakistan fail to sweep the series, it will drop to 85 points. If Zimbabwe win the series 2-1, it will see Pakistan will slide even lower to 83 points.

With only one point separating seventh-ranked West Indies and eighth-ranked Bangladesh from Pakistan, and England plus the seven next highest-ranked sides on the Reliance ICC ODI Team Rankings as on September 30, 2015, to progress to the ICC Champions Trophy 2015.

Hence, Pakistan cannot afford to lose any matches against Zimbabwe.

The West Indies has no series scheduled until the cut-off date for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 to be staged in UK from June 1 to 19.

However, Pakistan still has to play five-ODIs against Sri Lanka in July while Bangladesh has home ODIs against India and South Africa.

Rank Team Points

1 Australia 129

2 India 117

3 New Zealand 116

4 South Africa 112

5 Sri Lanka 106

6 England 94

7 West Indies 88

8 Bangladesh 88

9 Pakistan 87

10 Ireland 50

11 Zimbabwe 45

12 Afghanistan 41

What do you guys think about Anwar Ali vs Hammad Azam competition, i like Hammad Azam better because batting has always been a weaker area for Pakistan. He is also an economical bowler if not a wicket taker.

Anwar ali is a better batsmen.Infact he has the potential to become a very successful alrounder

Why would I be happy???
The whole series is poorly conceived and poorly timed!!!
And in hurried manner!!
Pcb has dug itself in grave Nw...

You can't seem to contain your happiness can you?

You are mistaken...I love Pakistani people it's culture and its food!!!
Only thing I hate is your army backed government!!!

But why are you discussing this in a cricket thread? Open a another thread outlining your hate for armed forces of Pakistan.
