You just don't get it, US is still powerful and it is declining, those two concepts don't conflict. US is not as unrivalled and powerful as it used to be , the world is becoming multi polar instead of US being the sole superpower. That is the decline we are talking about, China is still a developing country and she is catching up fast, that's the rise we are talking about.

China is not only the concern. Other countries too namely germany and japan. These countries are innovators, pusher of boundaries. China too, not on their par but close cause of production quantity.

Apple products are simply assembled overseas, while the design and IP are developed right here in the US. It's US companies and universities that are at the forefront of S&T. It's why so many want to study and work here. Why do you think we've developed over 300 Nobel Prize winners? It's because this is where breakthroughs happen. What is exactly declining again? Sure, the world hates Trump, but he's temporary. The US can easily regain its influence among its allies under a new presidency. I think your the one that doesn't get it. I've already stated that the US has faced near peer competition before. Even then, the US remained on top. Competition is actually healthy for us, since we thrive on it.
