Why the FM addressed UN in Urdu !

Around 75% of Urdu words have their etymological roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit, and approximately 99% of Urdu verbs have their roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit.

False:

The Journal of Pakistan Vision places Urdu vocabulary as being composed of 29.9% of Arabic loanwords and 21.7% Persian loanwords

Also, Panini (probably the most well known Sanskrit grammarian) came from Pakistan and Gandhari is also considered to be one of the Prakrits.

How and when did Pakistan Government opened the Kartar corridor.

Does your country issue any official statement to legalise such orders.

OR statements in media are sufficient for gullible Pakistanis like you to accept whatever is fed to you.:D
Trying to be smart? but that won't work here since Pakistan has already offered to open the corridor but your govt is not ready to open it..what a shame and your hindutva state does not want to facilitate Sikhs.

Excellent reply by SMQ. It becomes even more appealing knowing the fact he can speak English fluently and he does speak when necessary but at such an official event, selection of Urdu as a language was perfect and it should have always been the case. IK did both his speeches in Urdu so it shows PTIs dedication to promote national language and boost nation dignity through actions. Long Live Pakistan, Long Live Imran Khan.
Imran Khan tries to speak Hindi but uses unnecessary English words as his Hindi is weak.

urdu may takreer Pakistani FM kar raha hai discuss hindu-satani kar rahay hain!! in keh pass koi kaam nai sootay jagtay Pakistani Pakistan he kartay hai kia ya baboon (no racist :P)

They are obsessed and possessed by Pakistan. Their elections are decided by Pakistan, a lot of children born in Gangadeshi homes have ISI's "hand" in it. So you can imagine.

The statement isn't for public consumption but for Sikhs across the border and world wide. Hindustan can't allow Sikhs freely go into Pakistan nor it can refuse the offer as it will be seen anti-Sikh. In both cases it's win for Pakistan, and we will keep Hindustan poking with offer.

Now you know why he delivered his speech in urdu.

When nothing official has been proposed by Pakistan

Then it rightly can only be termed as media poking and point scoring

Have Fun, keep on poking :p:

If Allama Iqbal uses the word Hindi to describe Urdu. We should not be afraid to call it Hindi. The original Hindi is Urdu and is written in the Nastaliq Script. Urdu was just a poetic way of saying Hindi or rather زبان اردو. Just like Persian was sometimes poetically known as زنان دربار.
Hindi was formed under the various Muslim Turkic Dynasties that ruled was is now North Bharat. Hindi was spoke by Muslims and Non Muslims. It was not considered a "Muslim" language even though it developed under Muslim dynasties and by Muslim culture.
Its verbs and most of the grammar is based upon Sanskrit (a small part of the grammar is Persian based) as well as many other words but it does have a lot of Persian and Arabic Vocabulary. During the 19th Century during British India, the extremists Vedantists despised the fact that the language they spoke was developed under the auspices of Muslim dynasties and Muslim culture. They wanted to rid Hindi of Persian and Arabic vocabulary and replaces it with archaic Sanskrit words. They also wanted to write it in a "native" script. But ironically they still called it Hindi which is a Persian word. Now unfortunately Muslims also fell for this and called the "original Hindi" by its poetic name. This was then cemented under the British rule.

What the foreign minister of Pakistan spoke at the UN was Hindi and by that I mean the original Hindi and not the current day Hindi. (Which in my opinion is nowhere near as sophisticated or elegant as the original Hindi but beauty is in the eye of the beholder).

Pakistanis should not be ashamed of this. Just like we should not be ashamed that India comes from the Indus. We really ought to refer to the Republic of India as Bharat. As India (Subcontinent) is also Pakistan.

I have no time to argue with you since this is total crap. Allama Iqbal did not call it Hindi..show me with a due reference.

Third last line, second to last paragraph at the bottom of the page.
Begins with
گرچہ ہندی در عزوبت شکر است

Translation: Even though in sweetness Hindi* is sugar(but) speech method in Dari (Persian dialect) is sweeter *

Now one could argue that Allama Iqbal was talking about the re Sanskritised Devangari Hindi and not Urdu..but I think one will have a hard time selling that...
Allama Iqbal was comparing Urdu(original Hindi) with Dari (Afghan Persian) and he preferred that latter. It is shame that Pakistan did not attempt to revive Persian after the British abolished it. Most of Iqbal's works are in Dari. Islam came to us mainly via the Persian language. It would have helped the Muslims of Pakistan to reconnect...but now we are losing even Hindi (Urdu).

I bet you that most Pakistanis in Pakistan less than 30 would have a hard time understanding wha the FM was talking about. They would probably be asking their parents or elders.
