I have really noticed that offlately in Pakistani showbiz industry and even amongst common pakistanis pronuncing Urdu words wrongly and in Bollywood accents is becoming a fashion, despite the fact that pure Urdu accent sounds very refined in its sound and impact and feels classy. Also copying bollywood ;and mind it indians pronounce the words the way do due to their local accents or absence of some phonetic alphabets in hindi, most of the actors nowadays are seen pronouncing sound "KH" خ as "K-KHA" کھا

First video is of a popular Pakistani singer alicia diaz. While talking she pronounced word Khud as K-khud

Second clip is from trailer of a film released two days back. At first it looks its just a scene from film but the actor Ali kazmi shared backstory to it. During this scenes shoot sohai actually used word K-khaas which led to ali correcting her on the spot. The director liked the correction part so much that he chose to make it a part of film.

Now this actress has been part of pakistan drama industry for last five six years and stars in lead roles. So now we are going to have people work in "Urdu" shows who despite being around for several ,6-7 years (same for above alicia) can not pronounce sound of KHAY correctly and have to say it bollywood style?

Learn to speak proper Urdu or just learn malayalam if its so hard to utter urdu words correctly. Terrible part is its not just the showbiz people now , common pakistanis are also following suit.

There is a world of difference between Urdu and Hindi. One is a thriving language and the other dead and replaced.

Hindi has basically become a mashup of Urdu.

As for these singers and actors, time has come for a proper Urdu lesson.

Anyone who does it on purpose should be kicked out because it is freaking cringe worthy. Urdu is a beautiful language and it should not be disgraced by this adulteration.
@Ocean Pakistan has been culturally conquered. It has been a while now to be honest. Women from upper middle and elite class even apply bhindi when dressing up for wedding functions.
That's not factually correct. It is a minority but they appear on media much more often so we need to bridle them.

You may walk the streets of Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi then come back telling me if I am being factually incorrect. A good portion of the middle class is culturally conquered by our eastern neighbour while the upper middle and elites were lost long ago.

The people from the country side don't matter in this equation because in terms of steering the nation and directing it towards certain path, it is always the elite and the influential who hold the reign.

It is a minority, but we need to contain this filth.

Sorry, I disagree. In my experiences, believe you me they are in no way limited, it's definitely NOT a minority. It's a significant and influential portion of our society. Forget the country side and the tribal areas as they don't have any impact whatsoever.

And here, my Indian friends try to speak in pure Urdu accent.:-)

Urdu is a thousand times more dignified than that hindustani crap. This qom of ours ruined a beautiful language instead of upholding it and nourishing it. Then again, jo qom apni betiya aur betay farokht kar dey, deen aur iman farokht kar dey, zameen farokht kar dey, ghairat farokht kar dey...uskay liye zabaan kiya cheez hai.

Well, right now I can't take a walk. But I have taken quite a few long walks whenever I visit Pakistan and my last visit was in 2017. I agree with you to some extent but as I said you are exaggerating because you have misread the whole situation. People in Pakistan have very skewed and narrow visions depending on their circumstances. Some are liberal and interact with liberal or libtards only so their POV is based on that. While others are religious and they are limited to the religious circle and these circles are exclusive and seldom intersect. I have both kind of interactions. There is a huge portion of the middle class that is religious and does not disgrace itself with such aping.

Bro, I reckon you haven't lived here? Am I right in assuming this?

I hate to burst your bubble - but both Hindi and Urdu are from Central India. Of course it is great that Pakistanis speak good Urdu. Bollywood speaks a dialect called Hindustani.

And i hate to burst your bubble but enndians cant pronounce certain phonetics and thus the language cant possibly belong to central india.

You cant own stuff just because you have numbers favoring you since you breed like bunnies in an easter Parade.
